Most games menus are written in this style. My best tip for learning, get some books and work on it for about two months. It's really not that hard. This is also my first FAQ or GUIDE, whichever you want to call it. THIS FAQ IS COPYRIGHT 2000 Scott Shockey; ANY REPRODUCTION WITHOUT CONSENT TO ME WILL BE PURSUED BY FORMAL LEGAL ACTION. The game runs on a time basis of 12 months in a year, and 4 days in a month. The different classes have different days they run on. For example, when you start out, your anima is E Class. E class races are held on the 2nd and 4th of each month. When you get into town on the day of the race, press the X button to bring up the menu. There should be three different things here. -Anima Parameters -Move -Leave Town/Race? Pick the last one. A screen will come up showing the name of the race in Katakana. You will then see the little guy on the bottom telling about each of the contenders. Press B to skip all this. Then they will show you the track. Again, press B to skip this. The race will start. You can control or "tell" your anima where to go with the directional pad. You can also make him run faster by pressing and holding up or down. I would suggest leaving this a little above where it started and then putting it all the way forward at the home stretch. One more thing you can do during the race is hit the other Anima to slow them down. Press A or B to do this. This only works when you are close to them. They will also try to hit you, it will slow you down, trust me. If you get first place you can go to the egg shop (If you follow your right when you come into town, you will see the building labeled, "Race Schedule." Go to the one next to it, straightforward, this is the egg shop.) Go up to the shopkeeper and talk to him by pressing Y. Pick the 1st menu, the second one will exit you from the conversation. He will list a number of eggs and the prices. Your gold will be on the bottom. You have to race to win money so train your Anima a lot!!! I hope this helped a little bit, that was the point after all. You can email me any questions or comments about this Guide. HAVE FUN!!!!!
