Unlike the TMs, you can teach HMs to all your Pokemon. I suggest that you don't. Each has there own uses. When I finish the walk through, you will know when you need what HM. You need all 5 of the HMs to beat the game. HM 01 - This HM contains Cut. This will cut down the little plants that look like mini palm trees. In my opinion, this is the second most useful HM that is in the game. This HM is found on the S. S. Anne. HM 02 - This HM contains Fly. This HM will let you instantly fly to any town that you have already visited. In my opinion, this is the game's best HM. This is found along Route 16 in a too hard to find hidden house. I will tell you how to get it in the walk through. HM 03 - This HM contains Surf. This HM will let you travel through the water. This is probably the game's third best HM. This HM is found in the Safari Zone. The place is pretty hard to find though. HM 04 - This HM contains Strength. This HM will let you move boulders that block your path. This is probably the game's fourth best HM. You will find this after you give the Golden Teeth back to the old man in the warden's house who can't talk. The warden's house is in Fuchsia City. HM 05 - This HM contains Flash. This HM lights up dark places. This probably is the most useless HM that there is. I mean, you only use it once in the game. This HM is found along Route 2. I will tell you how to get there in my walk through. You need Cut to get to it, though. The Walk Through: Well, this is the part of the FAQ that a lot have wanted from me. Well like I said at the top, I have a lot of big tests coming up and won't have as much time to work on this homepage. You can keep on e-mailing me because I always check my e-mail. This section should be entirely completed before the first week of December ends! J Part 1: The Introduction to the Game. As you start your new game, Professor Oak will give you a small introduction about Pokemon. He will then ask you for you name. You can then either pick one of the three names the game already has or you can make up your own. For the purpose of this FAQ, I will name your character Ash. Then he will talk about your rival, Prof. Oak's grandson. He will then ask you what his name is and you can chose one or make up your own. For the purpose of this FAQ, I will name him Gary. He tell you that you and Gary have been friends but now since you are old enough to have you Pokemon license, lately he has become a lot more competitive. He then tells you that your own Pokemon Adventure will begin and you start out at your house in Pallet Town. Part 2: Pallet Town and Route 1 Pallet Town Now you actually start your Pokemon adventure. You start at your bedroom and then you have to go downstairs. You don't have to talk to your mom but you can if you want to. After you leave, head up and then walk toward the path. Before you get very far, Prof. Oak will tell you that you can't leave and that you need your own Pokemon for your own protection. He will lead you to his laboratory and then walk up to where he is standing. Before very long, Gary will walk up and start asking why they are there. Prof. Oak then tells you that he will give you a Pokemon to start off with. You can see a table with 3 Poke Balls on it. In this order, from left to right, the Pokemon are Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur. Gary will always pick the Pokemon that is right of the Pokemon that you have picked. Before you leave, he will challenge you to your first duel. If you win, you gain 175 dollars and he'll say he needs to train or something. If you lose, then he'll say that he is the best and something else about how great he will be. I bet you anything that your Pokemon is damaged so return home and talk to your mom and she will heal you Pokemon. After that, go back to the path where you first tried to leave from and keep on heading forward. You are now on Route 1. Route 1 Pokemon found in this area: Pidgey Many/Many Rattata Many/Many (This means that there are many Pidgeys and rattatas on Route 1 in both versions of the game. The left is the Red Version and the right is the Blue Version [Red/Blue]) This is where you can actually fight Pokemon. However, you can't capture any yet because you don't have any Pokeballs. Keep on going forward until you get to Viridian City. There is a person on this path that says he works at the Poke Mart in Viridian city and he will give you a free Potion as a sample. It's not really necessary but you can get it if you want it. Part Three: Viridian City Viridian City Find an opening and go up. You should see a building. That is a Poke Center. Heal you Pokemon there and then go out. Go up and you should see the Poke Mart. Go in and the manager will ask you to deliver a parcel to Prof. Oak. You have no choice but to do this so go back to Pallet Town and then go to Prof. Oak's laboratory. He will ask how you are doing and will find out you have a parcel for him. Then Gary will show up and again ask why they are there again. He will tell you about the Pokedex and that he wants you to make it for him. He gives you and Gary both a Pokedex and the Gary will once again boast that he will do it faster that you will. After that, go back to Viridian City and you can now buy items such as Potions, Antidotes and Poke Balls. You may want to heal you Pokemon up at their Poke Center. After that, keep on heading up. You might see another path to your left, but don't go there just yet unless you want a Nidoran or something. That is the path to the Pokemon League, a place you can't pass through unless you have all eight badges. Also, if you tried to walk up the path and an old man wouldn't let you pass, it was because you did not deliver Oak's Parcel. If you talk to him, he will show you how to capture Pokemon. Keep on heading up and that will take you to Route 2 and the Viridian Forest. Part Four: Route 2 and Viridian Forest Route 2 Part A Pokemon found in this area: Rattata Many/Many Pidgey Many/Many Weedle Few/None Caterpie None/Few Keep on heading up until you reach the building. That is the entrance to the Viridian Forest. Viridian Forest Pokemon found in this area: Weedle Many/Few Kakuna Many/Few Caterpie Few/Many Metapod Few/Many Pikachu Few/Few Items found in this area: Antidote Poke Ball Potion This place is a simple maze. As soon as you enter, take a right until you see a trainer. He should be facing another path. Go on that path. You can fight the other trianer if you want. Go up until you see the end and then go left and down that path. Then left and go up until you hit dead end. Then go down and left and then go up and you are out of the forest. I suggest you capture a Pikachu in here because they are very useful in the future. There are other trainers in the park and you may fight them if you want to. Route 2 Part B Pokemon found in this area: Rattata Many/Many Pidgey Many/Many Weedle Few/None Caterpie None/Few This is where you are after you exit the Viridian forest. Go up and follow the path near the field of wild grass and you will be in another city, Pewter City. Part 5: Pewter City Pewter City This is the city with the first of the eight Gym Leaders that you can fight. First of all you might want to heal your Pokemon at the Poke Center. There is another trainer in the Pewter City Gym and you can chose to fight him or not. You are now ready for Brock, the first leader you will face. He has a Level 12 Geodude and a Level 14 Onix. If you started with Squirtle, you will have a big advantage since Rock is very weak against Water. Bulbasaur does okay and you might have a hard time with Charmander. After you beat him, he will give you the Boulder Badge, which makes your Pokemon stronger and can be combined with a HM to make Flash. He will also give you a TM that contains Bide. It is an okay attack but I do not like it much. It is you opinion, though. After you leave, you may want to heal you Pokemon before leaving Pewter City and into Route 3,4 and Mt. Moon. Part 6: Route 3, 4, and Mt. Moon Route 3 Pokemon found in this area: Pidgey Many/Many Spearow Many/Many Jigglypuff Few/Few There are a lot of trainers on this path so you may need to revisit the Poke Center in Pewter City after a few battles. After you beat the first crowd of trainers, the rest you can pretty much easily avoid if you want to. Follow the path and you should see a Poke Center and the opening to Mt. Moon. Mt. Moon Pokemon found in this area: Zubat Many/Many Geodude Few/Few Paras Few/Few Clefairy Few/Few Items found in this area: Potion - 2 Rare Candy Escape Rope Moon Stone TM 12 TM 01 HP UP There is really no easy way to describe the way to the exit so I will try my best. This also means that I cannot tell you the location of the items. Sorry! If you want me to tell you, e-mail me and I will put it on this FAQ. As you come in, keep heading up and you should see a sign and a female trainer. You can fight her if you want to. There is a wall behind her. You should follow this wall and continue to follow this wall up until you see a ladder. Don't go down the ladder. Keep heading left and you should run into another wall. Keep following this wall and you will come onto a trainer. After you beat him, head left and go up. You should see a trainer and a ladder behind him. Go down this ladder. You are in a very easy to follow path. Just go down and right until you get to the ladder. Go down this ladder. When you surface, go up and right and you should see a staircase. Go down it and you will see a member of Team Rocket. Behind him is another staircase. Go up this and follow the path. There aren't any ladders so you don't have to worry about that anymore. When you get pretty far there will be a Team Rocket member there. You must fight him to get through. Keep going up and there will be a trainer that has two fossils. After you beat him, he will give you a fossil of you choice. He will take the other and leave. Now head up the stairs and to the left. Go down the stairs you see and down the ladder. When you surface, go to the ladder to the right of you and you will be out of Mt. Moon! Route 4 Pokemon found in this area: Rattata Many/Many Spearow Few/Few Ekans Few/None Sandshrew None/Few Items found in this area: TM 04 This is a pretty easy path to follow. Go through all the openings and to the field. Jump over the small wall through the field. Go to your right and there should be an opening. Go there and you will be in Cerulean City. Part 7: Cerulean City and Route 24 and 25 Cerulean City This is Cerulean City. This is the home of the second Gym Leader, Misty. She has a Level 18 Staryu and a Level 21 Starmie. After you beat her, she will give you the Cascade Badge and a TM, which contains Bubble Beam. Also in this town, you can see a man and a cave. This is the North Cave and you only get access to it after you beat the Elite 4. There is also a man who will trade Jynx for a Poliwhirl. You can get a Poliwhirl later in the game so come back here after you get one. There is also a house here with a Policeman at the door. Go through thus house and out the hole in the back wall of this house and a member of Team Rocket will be there. If you beat him, you get a TM. Also, after you leave, go to the left and you should see a path to your right and a path in front of you. The path in front of you is Route 5 and the path to your left is Route 9. Also, if you go up, there is another route. This is Route 24 and 25. Part 8: Routes 24 & 25 Pokemon found in this area: Weedle Many/Few Kakuna Many/Few Pidgey Few/Few Oddish Few/None Abra Few/Few Metapod Few/Many Caterpie Few/Many Bellsprout None/Many Items found in this area: TM 19 TM 45 Route 24 & 25 This Route could basically just be called one path. I don't know why they decided to split it. Oh, well. The first part is the hard part. You must get through Gary and Six other trainers, some from Team Rocket. You might need to go back to the Poke Center in Cerulean a couple of times to beat them all. After, you beat the last person, he will give you a Nugget. This is pretty much worthless. Just sell it at a Poke Mart for some good cash. After you get the Nugget, you can go left or right. Going left is the path to the North Cave but you need Surf for that and you can't get into the cave since you haven't beaten the Elite Four yet. Go up and right to get to Bill's House. There are a few trainers along this pathway, too. When you get to Bill's House, you will see a Squirrel looking Pokemon. That is actually Bill. Talk to him and he will ask you for help. Do what he says. After that, he will thank you and then he will give you a ticket for the S. S. Anne that is docked in Vermilion City. Now you can go back the way you came or you can go straight down and follow that path to Cerulean City. I will bet you need to heal your Pokemon. Going back to the house with the team rocket member, go back through it and go to the path below you. You can't go to the path to your left because you need the Cut ability to get through it. Go to the path below you which, like I said, is Path 5. Part 9: Route 5 Pokemon Found in this Area: Oddish Few/None Pidgey Many/Many Mankey Few/None Bellsprout None/Few Meowth None/Few Route 5: There is another path to the left but it leads directly to the same place. There is a building there. It is an Pokemon Day Care. If you leave your Pokemon there for at least for 1 hour, they will start to level up. However, if they learn a move during the time you leave them there, you will have no choice on what move they delete or if they should even learn the move. That is the risk you take there. There are two more buildings there. One is small and the other one is pretty big. The big building is the gate to a city called Saffron City. You will get there later in the game so don't worry about it yet. The other building is the Underground Path that leads to Vermilion City. Go down there and then take the path. The path is a bit long so don't lose you patience. There are no Pokemon or Pokemon trainers down there so you don't have to worry about that. There are hidden items down there that you can get by pressing A as you walk. Don't waste your time doing this because I have never gotten anything and I have tried a few times. When you come out, you will be at Route 6. Part 9: Route 6 Pokemon Found in this Area Oddish Few/None Pidgey Many/Many Mankey Few/None Bellsprout None/Few Meowth None/Few If you look up you will see another big building. That is also a gate to Saffron City. Once again you can't go. The reason for this is that all the guards say that they are thirsty and won't let you pass. Don't worry about it yet. You will get what you need later on in the game. Now keep heading down. There are big grassy plains there, which are loaded with Pokemon. There is also a path but there are a few Pokemon trainers there on the path. Follow the path and it will lead to Vermilion City. Part 10: Vermilion City and the S. S. Anne Vermilion City This is the home Lt. Surge and the Third Badge. There is a house here that is the Pokemon Fan Club. If you go there, which you need to, they will give you a Bike Voucher. Take this to a bike store and they will automatically give you a free bike! There is a Bike Shop in Cerulean City so you can go back there. The port for the S. S. Anne is also here so you will visit that. A bush that you need cut down blocks the gym. You can cut the bush down by using cut, However, you don't have Cut yet and that is why you need to go on the S. S. Anne. The S. S. Anne Items Found Here TM 08 Max Potion Ether TM 44 Max Ether Rare Candy Great Ball This is the world famous cruise liner, the S. S. Anne. In here, there are tons of Pokemon trainers waiting to battle you. You can skip them of course and straight for the HM. There are some pros and cons on whether or not you should fight them. The pros are that you can level up you Pokemon buy fighting them and getting money. The cons are that if your Pokemon get seriously hurt, they can't heel themselves and there isn't a Poke Center in the ship. Also, if you leave the ship, it will leave the dock and you won't and can't get the HM which is vital to the game. Besides, there is one important battle on this ship and it is with Gary. You must fight him so you can get to the captain who has the HM. Now as soon as you enter, you can start fighting the people, go right or go left. For the shortness of this FAQ we won't tell about each cabin and such. If you go to your right, there is one cabin and a stairway at the end of the hallway. If you go down those stairs, You will get to another level of cabins. If you want to go back, go back up the stairs. If you go to the right of where you started out, you will see five cabins and two stairways. The first one leads you to another level of cabins. You should take this one. If you go down, you will see another staircase. That leads to a big hallway which leads to the deck of the ship. There is nothing you need to get there except if you want to fight Pokemon trainers. Getting back to the subject, if you keep going to the left of the staircase, which leads to the hallway, there is another row of cabins. Follow it through and then head up. You should she a staircase there. Head for it. As soon as you do, Gary pops up and challenges you to a battle. As soon as you beat him, go up the stairs. In there you will find a seasick man who is actually the captain. Talk to him and help him get through his seasickness and he will thank you with the HM 01, Cut. After all this, you can head back to Vermilion or fight some more. If you remember that on the main deck there is one staircase I didn't mention yet, I will tell you about it now. That staircase leads you to the kitchen and there isn't much there. If you do look in one of the garbage cans, there will be a Great Ball in there. Now, if you don't want to battle anymore people, you should leave the S. S. Anne. As soon as you leave, the S. S. Anne departs. Vermilion City Now after the whole S. S. Anne ordeal, go to the Poke Center and heal your Pokemon if you need to. Now you can actually get to Lt. Surge since you got Cut from the captain. Cut down the hedge and enter the Gym. His gym is a little annoying. There are only three other trainers there and lots of cans. You can see Lt. Surge but you can't get to him because in order to open the electronic door, you have to find the two switches that will open the door. They are under the cans. Once you find one of them, the second one is close by. It is either directly above the first switch, below it, to the right of it, to the left of it or diagonal down left, down right, up left and finally up right. Be careful however, if you pick the wrong one as the second switch, the first switch locks again and you will have to go through the whole ordeal again. If you have now finally gotten to Lt. Surge, you may finally challenge him. He has a Level 21 Voltorb, a Level 18 Pikachu and a Level 24 Raichu. Note that water and flying Pokemon do badly against him. I suggest using a ground or a rock Pokemon to defeat him. After you defeat him, He will give you the Thunder Badge and TM 24. The Thunder Badge will raise the speed of all your Pokemon and it will allow you to use Fly anytime that you want to. The TM 24 contains Thunderbolt. If you have an Electric Pokemon, you should teach them this move. After you leave, heal up your Pokemon. There is another important house that you should go in Vermilion City. It is the building to the right of the Pokemon Fan Club. There is a man in there who will trade a Fardetch'd for a Pidgey. Since Pidgeys are really common, this is a very good trade. There is only one Farfetch'd and that's here. After all this, you should start heading out. There is a path to the right of the city. That is Route 11. Part 11: Route 11 Route 11 Pokemon Found in this Area: Ekans Many/None Spearow Many/Many Drowzee Few/Few Sandshrew None/Many There isn't that much stuff here. There are a few really big Pokemon fields and a lot other Pokemon trainers that you can challenge. There is another path to the right but that is not needed to be known about yet. It will come to some importance later into the game. There is also a cave there that is pretty essential to the game. That is Diglett's Cave. Part 12: Diglett's Cave and Viridian Forest (Again) Diglett's Cave Pokemon Found in this Area Diglett Many/Many Dugtrio Few/Few This cave leads to the cave opening near Viridian Forest. You might have seen it earlier in the game and didn't know what it was for. Well, now you do. In Diglett's Cave, there is one path to follow. It is really clear. There is only one path in the whole cave. As soon as you leave the cave, you will be in the section to the right of the forest. Viridian Forest (Again) Items Found in this Area HP UP Moon Stone This isn't exactly the forest and there are no Pokemon patches in this area. However, there are a few really important stuff here. As you follow the path and walk down, you will see a small house. In there, there will be a person that will trade an Abra for a Mr. Mime. This is another one of those "only once a game Pokemon " trades that happen. There are a few of them and I will tell exactly where to get them. Some are already in this FAQ and some are coming up soon. If you follow the path some more, there will be an even bigger house. Go in through the back door and talk to the people. One of them is Professor Oak's assistant. He says that if you have 20 or more Pokemon, he will give you HM 05 which contains Flash. You really need this HM to get through the next part of this FAQ or you will have a VERY hard time trying it. Part 13: Routes 9, 10 and the Rock Tunnel Route 9 Pokemon Found in this Area Rattata Many/Many Spearow Many/Many Sandshrew None/Many Ekans Many/None Voltorb Many/Many Items Found in this Area TM 30 Remember when I said that in Cerulean City there was a path that you couldn't go through since you didn't have before but now you do. So now cut down the hedge and then just go through. There are quite a few trainers on this battle so be careful. If you didn't know, this is the route to the Rock Tunnel and there is a Pokemon Center right before it so don't worry too much about healing you Pokemon. Please note that if you are there, you may be able to see a really big building. That building is really important later on in the game. Rock Tunnel Pokemon Found in this Area Zubat Many/Many Geodude Few/Few Macahop Few/Few Onix Few/Few This is the really hard place that you need HM 05 for. If you have it, use it. When you first enter the cave, it is pitch dark. Use Flash and then you can see everything. There is one path to follow and it is pretty straightforward. As soon as you enter and use Flash, start heading to the right. There is an opening blocked by a trainer and you must get past him. Once you do, keep heading right until you hit a dead end. Then head up and you should see a staircase. Go down it. After you emerge, go down and keep heading left. After a little bit, you should see another trainer blocking your path. Defeat him to get through. Then keep following the trail until you enter a room with the next staircase. There are 2 Pokemon trainers in this room. You only need to defeat one of them until you can get to the next staircase. After you use the staircase, you should end up near a Pokemon trainer. Fight him and go to the right and then go down and then go right again until you see yet another Pokemon trainer. Defeat him so you may get to the next staircase. When pop up, go to the right and down until you see a Pokemon trainer and fight him. Then go up a little more and fight another Pokemon trainer. After that, head up and there will be another Pokemon trainer but he you can avoid. When you pop out, there will be two Pokemon trainers blocking your way and you need to defeat them as well. After that, keep heading down and then head to your left and fight the net Pokemon trainer there. Once you do, head left and go down. There will be another Pokemon trainer and the staircase out of here. You can avoid this trainer so head out. Route 10 When you are finally out, you still aren't home safe. If you Pokemon survived that ordeal, heal them if you have any Potions and such. For the easiest path, head right and face one Pokemon trainer and go down and face one last Pokemon trainer. After you beat him, go down and you will finally be out of danger. You will now be in Lavender Town. Part 14: Lavender Town (A), Route 8, 7 Lavender Town (A) You must definitely heal you Pokemon here. There isn't much that you can do here. There is a house here that rates the nicknames, if any, that you gave you Pokemon. This is also a place where you can change the name you gave your Pokemon. There is also a really big building in here. That is the Pokemon Tower. The Pokemon Tower is like mourning place for dead Pokemon. However, there is something going on in there that is disturbing the peace there. You can't get past it without getting an item, which will be revealed later on in the game. Route 8 Pokemon Found in this Area Pidgey Few/Few Mankey Few/None Ekans Few/None Growlithe Few/None Meowth None/Few Sandshrew None/Few Vulpix None/Few The reason that I am doing Route 8 first is because you encounter Route 8 first in the game than Route 7. It's really weird. Anyway, follow the path and head for a little house. There are a few Pokemon Trainers here that you may want to or not challenge. You will see two buildings: a small house like one and one that is long. The long one is another gate into Saffron City and if you haven't figured out the pattern yet, the guard will once again say he is thirsty and he won't let you through. Now it's time for the little house. That is another underground path. This one leads up to Celadon City, home of the REALLY big Pokemon Department Store. You will be able to buy lots of stuff here. Route 7 Pokemon Found in this Area Pidgey Few/Few Oddish Few/None Mankey Few/None Growlithe Few/None Bellsprout None/Few Meowth None/Few Vulpix None/Few This is where you end up after the underground tunnel. Go you your right and go up and you will see the small opening there that you go through and turn left and then go up again. Then if you go to your left, there will be the path to Celadon City. Also there is one more gate to Saffron but the guard is you know what and he won't let you through. Part 15: Celadon City Well, this is one of the big towns in Pokemon. The first thing you should do is heal your Pokemon up to their full status. Now there is a secret here. There is a Pokemon, Eevee, that you can get for free! All you do is go behind the Poke Center and follow the path until you get to the opening. Then go through the opening and then follow the path until you get to the back door of the Celadon City Mansion. Go in and keep following the path. When you get to the final floor, there will be a scientist that will tell you a little about Eevee and then there on the table, is the Poke Ball that contains Eevee! After you get him, you should leave and head for the big Pokemon Department Store. Go back the way you came and then keep heading left. The Poke Dept. Store has two doors in front of it. Now you can either take the stairs or the elevators. The 2nd floor has the heal things and the TMs. The special stones are on the fourth floor. They fifth floor has the power ups like the Carbos and stuff. There is also the roof. Go onto the roof. There is a vending machine up there. You can but drinks there like Water and Lemonades. These work like Potions and stuff but I think they are much cheaper. Buy one extra for the guards at the Saffron City gates. There is also a woman up here. If you buy here a water, she will give you a TM. She will give you more TMs if you buy here a Lemonade and a Soda Pop in that order. I didn't bother to do this but if you want to then it is your choice. Once you buy something, you can leave and either head for the gym or the game corner where team rocket has established a secret base. For the purposes of this FAQ, I will just go to the Gym first. The gym leader here is Erika. She is the mistress of grass Pokemon. She has a Level 29 Victreebel, a Level 24 Tangela and a Level 29 Vileplume. Once you defeat her, you will get the Rainbow Badge and TM 20. I think TM 20 contains Razor Leaf and the Rainbow badge will allow Pokemon up to Level 50 obey you. I should have put this earlier, but there are a few other Pokemon trainers here that you need to fight before you face Erika. After that battle with Erika, you should heal you Pokemon. Once you heal your Pokemon, you should now start to head for the Game Corner. The Game Corner is the building next to the house with the small pond in front of it. For the purposes of this FAQ, I will assume you are here to defeat Team Rocket. I will tell you how to play the slots later. As you head toward the back of the game corner, there will be a member of Team Rocket standing next to a picture. Fight him and when he loses, he will escape into a secret stairway on the side of the wall! There is a hidden switch that you may use to open up the panel. Face the picture and press A. The door will open up and you should go down there. As soon as you reappear, there will be a staircase right next to you. Take it. There isn't much you can do on that particular floor. As soon as reappear again, head down and left and dodge that member of Team Rocket. *Then you should go up and take the other staircase there. When you reappear again, head left and then go down and head left on the first opening. Keep going until you see a opening. There is a little arrow thingy that is pointing to the right. You should not take it. Go to the left of it and take the one that is pointing to the left. When you stop on the special square, head down on to the arrow that is pointing to the right. Take it. You will once again stop at a special square. This time when you stop, head back to the left and then go down the opening there. You will be in front of two arrow square that point to the right. Don't take any these. Head left and then go down and head right. You will see another pair of arrows that point to the right. Take the top one. You will need to keep following until you stop. Head to the left and you should see a member of Team Rocket there. After you fight him, head down and then to your right and then back up to the staircase. Use it. When you once again reappear, head up and to the left into the room. There will be a member of Team Rocket there. You need to fight him in order to get the lift key which will operate the elevator that you need to get to the boss of this hidden place. Once you have beaten him, go back to the floor where I put the "*" symbol. If you keep heading left there will be two arrows that point left. You should take the bottom one and follow the path until you stop at the special square. Master Collector Jin Shi
