Fire Emblem Fuuin No Tsurugi Character Guide Version 0.1 Do not use any of the documents information without my consent. This document is not for profit and commericial use and yada yada yada... Nobody cannot use this guide without my approval first. All this junk I typed in is owned by Lord Alvein. Contact me if any information is missing or something that's incorrect(besides my opinion of the character) at satoshi_strife2004@yahoo.com. Table of Contents: I. Introduction II. Basic Strategy III. Classes IV. Characters ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I. Introduction Yo, Lord Alvein is here to give you my two pennies of the characters of Fire Emblem Fuuin no Tsurugi(The Sealed Swords) This guide covers on basic strategy, classes, the characters, how useful they are, and how to recruit them and what they're classes are. I'll also rant with Eaichu on how useful or useless they are, praising or degrading them. Alrighty, enough chit chat, let's get on with the guide! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ II. Basic Strategy Fire Emblem isn't too hard, but don't just go on an all out offense. Take to mind the advantages of the field and recognize your weaknesses. Also, remember to use the terrain to your advantage. Here are some of the terrain you can get bonuses on Evade and Defense Houses and Villages = AVD=10%, DEF= 0 Arenas= AVD=10% Water = AVD=20%, DEF=0 Shrubs = AVD=20%, DEF=1 Pillars = AVD = 20%, DEF=1 Thrones = AVD=20% or 30%, DEF= 3 Mountains = 40% DEF, DEF=2 And keep in mind that weapons and spells has weaknesses. Spear beats Sword Axe beats Spear Sword beats Axe Neural beats Light Dark beats Neutral Light beats Dark However, if you have a "buster" weapon, it'll have the opposite effects. For example: Using a Lance Buster(Which is a C Level Sword) will give the advantage against Lances now, but it's weak against axes. The only weapon that doesn't suffer from weaknesses are bows. They can attack from long range(2 spaces usually), but can never be used in one space upclose. Other thing to keep in mind is to watch out for these weapons that get damage bonuses: Arrows: Bonus vs. Flying units. Rapier: Bonus vs. Armored units and horse units. Knight Killer: Bonus vs. Horse units. Pole Axe: Bonus vs. Horse units. Dragon Killer: Does as the name implies, affects Dragon Knights as well. Armor Killer: Does what the name implies, cut through armored units. Air Caliber: Bonus against flying units. And here's your arsenal that you can obtain later in the game. Legendary weapons: Bonus against dragons. God Dragon Stone: Bonus versus Dragons The Sealed Sword: Bonus versus Dragons To avoid these little things, you can steal a Delphy Charm from Narshen in Chapter 16. This nifty item removes all damage bonuses from these certain weapons. Another idea is to stock up on items. Seriously, try to get as much items for back up. Getting a Silver Card will make life easier and the membership card can let you access promotion items and some stat increasing items in Secret shops located in Chapter 16 and 21. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ III. Classes Basically this is my view on the classes. I'll explain what they do mostly: Lord: Your basic main character class, uses swords. Master Lord: Promotion of the Lord. Much more powerful than the Lord. Social Knight: Knights mounted on a horse. Able to wield swords and spears. Paladin: Promoted Social Knights. Axes are added to thier arsenals. Armor Knight: Armor cladded soldiers that can attack with spears. Have low movement. Generals: Very heavily cladded units, able to use axes. Archers: Bow carrying fighters that attack from a distance. Beware of melee combat. Snipers: Promoted Archers. Watch out for close up battles. Transport Units: A huge caravan that carries item during battle. Priests: Units who can heals allies with staves. Bishop: Promoted Priest. Are able to use Light Magic. Mercenary: Warriors wielding a huge sword, fairly agile. Hero: Promoted Mercenary.Powerful units that are armed with Swords and Axes. Fighter: Strong man equipped with Axes. Warriors: Promoted Fighter. Able to use bows. Pegasus Knight: Knights mounted a flying horse. Uses spears for aerial attacks, vulnerable to arrows and air magic. Falcon Knights: Promoted Pegasus Knight, Can now use swords as well. Weak vs. arrows and air magic. Thief: Sword using robbers. Can lift non-weapon items from units and use thief key to unlock any door or treasure box. Mage: Neutral magic user. Sage: Neutral magic user, can also uses staves. Troubadour: Horse mounted healers . Valkyrie: Promoted Troubadour, able to use Neutral Magic. Myrmidon: Agile sword units that can use the exclusive katana. Sword Master: Promoted Myrmidons, bonus on critical. Nomad: Horse riders wielding bows. Nomadic Trooper: Promoted Nomads. Now are able to uses Swords in their arsenals. Bandits: Axe wielding men. Can cross over mountains (Think mountain thief) Pirate: Axe user that can cross over water. Berserker: Promoted Bandit or Pirate, can cross over mountains and water, bonus on critical. Dancer: Lalum is this class. Able to make units move again. Cannot use weapons. Bard: Elphin is this class. Able to make units move again. Cannot use weapons. Shaman: Dark magic users. Druid: Promoted Shamans, can use staves as well as dark magic. Mamkute: Uses Dragons stones to become powerful dragons. King: Zephryl is this class. Huge unit that can use swords. (Note: Kings can max out everything!) To promote units, here's the scoop on what promotes what class. Hero's Proof: Mercenaries, Myrmidons, Bandits, Pirates, Fighters. Knight's Emblem: Social Knights, Armor Knights Orion's Arrow: Archers, Nomads Sky Whip: Pegasus Knights, Dragon Knights Guidance Ring: Priests, Shamans, Mages ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ IV. Characters: Roy: The main hero of Fire Emblem the Sealed Sword. Roy, honest to goodness, sucks... he clocks in high luck mostly. His other stats are somewhat average and he can a bit bothersome in the battle field. But he is good later on after being promoted and he can use the Fuuin No Tsurugi (The Sealed Sword) that gives him a big boost in his defense and magic defense. Eaichu250's comments: Roy's the main hero and everything.. yadda yada yada, there's nothing too special about him, frankly, his stats dont get too high, aside from luck, he's a tank with the Sword of Seals, but untilyou get that weapon, he's pretty frail and should always be protected. Dont be afraid to level him, though. Class: Lord Promotion: Master Lord (Chapter 21) Usefulness: 5/10 E250 Usefulness: 5.5/10 Recruiting: You start off with him. Marcus: Some people will think this guy would rock! But expect your units to quickly surpass this guy. Low growth rates isn't worth it! Save yer experience for someone who really needs it! Eaichu250's comments: Marcus starts out pretty strong, but his growth rates are well below average, andhe will be passed up by other units after a while, only use him to shield units that have been wounded in previous chapters, otherwise, dont use him in the least, because he can be a real experince hog. Class: Paladin Promotion: None Usefulness: 4/10 E250 Usefulness: 2/10 Recruiting: Appears in the first chapter with Roy. Allen Meet the Kain of this game. Seriously this guy rocks! His stat growth is awesome, his strength, skill, speed, and luck fairly rises at a nice pace. Also his defense is pretty good too. Probably one of the best social knights in the game! Eaichu250's comments: Allen rules. Okay, after that has been said, I will now prove it, Allen getsvery high stats, most of his stats will be well above decent, and his strength and skill will be extremely high, making him a powerhouse. Luck is the only stat that dosent seem to get too high, but his speed can cover it pretty well. Lance: If you like Abel(Like me), then Lance is your man. His speed and skill tends to rise higher than Allen, but he's slightly weaker than Allen in strength and defense. Anyway, Lance is one of my favorite characters. Eaichu250's comments: Lance is pretty good, he gets some good gains, his stats arent too bad in theleast, and he seems to be quite a good character. I seem to think Allen's a bit better, but if you need speed and luck more then pure killing power, then go with Lance. Class: Social Knight Promotion: Paladin Usefulness: 8/10 E250 Usefulness: 7.5/10 Appearance: Green haired Social Knight. Recruiting: Appears in the start of Chapter 1 Bors: Sadly enough, armors weren't as good as they were before. Bors is somewhat average, gaining not much besides Hp, defense, and luck. At least he does the triangle attack with the three other siblings. Eaichu250's comments: Bors is pretty good, he starts out with high stats, aside from speed, and his gains arent really all that bad, he can do the triangle attack with Wendy and Barth, which makes him pretty useful. Use Bors mostly for shielding other characters. Class: Armor Knight Promotion: General Usefulness: 7/10 E250 Usefulness: 6/10 Recruiting: Appears in start of Chapter 1. Wolts: An archer to use. Wolts is fairly good, gaining decent speed and techique, but he usually ends up with a good power rating for me. Eaichu250's comments: Wolts is okay.. not too bad, he can be pretty strong if levelled, I suppose, and his gains arent bad in the least. Wolts is good if you need an above decentfoot archer. Class: Archer Promotion: Sniper Usefulness: 7/10 E250 Usefulness: 7/10 Recruiting: Appears in the start of Chapter 1 Merlinus: A caravan, and his main purpose is to supply the people with items during the battle field. So he's crappy, but important if you want to get an item off your stash. His growth rate is good.... but how the hell will you level him up if he can't even fight back?! Eaichu250's comments: Uh.. what he said, you can level Merlinus by having him dodge enemies attacks, though. Class: Transport Unit Promotion: None Usefulness: 1/10 E250 Usefulness: 2/10 Recruiting: Appears in Chapter 2 at the start of the chapter. Ellen: Ellen is one of your early healers. So make good use of her as soon as you can. When she promotes, she can work wonders with light magic. One of her faults are her low defense and speed, but makes it up with high strength and luck. Eaichu250's comments: Ellen is pretty good healer, she has amazing luck gains, which makes her quite a speedy character, and her speed gains arent too bad either. When Ellen promotes, she'll be nearly impossible to hit and she can be a pretty decent fighter with some light magic equipped. Quite a good healer, and a decent fighter at promotion. Class: Priest Promotion: Bishop Usefulness: 9/10 E250 Usefulness: 9/10 Recruiting: Appears in Chapter 2 at the start of the chapter. Dieck: The Oguma of the game... totally rocks! As his Hp, power, skill , speed, and defense tend to rise at a good pace, balancing his abilities out. An awesome unit to have in your party! Make sure you level up his axe level, he's great with a killer sword or killer axe. Eaichu250's comments: Dieck's pretty good, he starts with great stats, and his gains arent really all that bad either, he's very useful, but his defense rises a bit poorly, but other then that, Dieck is a solid character. Class: Mercenary Promotion: Hero Usefulness: 9/10 E250 Usefulness: 8.5/10 Recruiting: Appears in the second turn of chapter 2. Thany: A pegasus knight and pretty good one too. Her speed and luck will skyrocket! Also her gains in Magic Defense will be high, making her a great mage killer, however, she's a bit frail, so watch out! Oh yes, she can perform the elusive triangle attack with her sisters! (Tiet and Yuuno). Eaichu250's comments: Thany's pretty fast, she gets really high speed and luck, but her other stats will somewhat suffer, she's not too much of a fighter, use her mostly for flying support, but she can do some nasty damage with the triangle attack, and she has high magic defense, so she's okay as a defense character too. Class: Pegasus Knight Promotion: Falcon Knight Usefulness: 9/10 E250 Usefulness: 8/10 Recruiting: Appears with Dieck. Wade: Warriors and Fighters weren't my favorite class. Ward is alot like the Saji of the game. His HP and power is high, but his skill and speed are crap. So I pass this guy later on for a better axe unit. Eaichu250's comments: Wade kinda sucks, his gains arent too bad, but there are far better axe fighters, just leaving Wade in the dust. Wade's a bit better then Lot, though, and if you do actually plan on using him, use the terrain and everything to his fullest advantage, because Wade really needs all he can get. Class: Fighter Promotion: Warrior Usefulness: 6/10 E250 Usefulness: 5/10 Recruiting: Appears with Dieck. Lott: The Maji of the game. Lott isn't too great either. His skill and techique are higher than Wade, but his strength is lower than Lott. Lott doesn't make the cut for me to be a solid member. Eaichu250's comments: Lot is just a slobed down verison of Wade, starts with higher stats, gets passed upby Wade, but there are far better axe fighters then the two of them.. dont really bother. Class: Fighter Promotion: Warrior Usefulness: 5/10 E250 Usefulness: 4/10 Recruiting: Appears with Dieck. Chad: Although Chad doesn't get promotion, he manages to prove me wrong. Chad's gains are quite excellent, making him a decent fighter. His main purpose is to loot treasure and so forth, so he's quite vital for you in order to survive. Eaichu250's comments: Chad's a thief, meaning he can steal items, open doors and chests, and be a great member for getting treasures and the like, you will need Chad for many places, as you cant get most of the good stuff without him.. and he isnt too bad of a fighter either, he can decently high weapon skill, and his stats arent too bad in the least, Chad's also quite an amazing dodger too! ^_^ Class: Thief Promotion: None :( Usefulness: 9.5/10 E250 Usefulness: 9.5/10 Recruiting: Appears in the start of Chapter 3. Lugh: An awesome little mage that likes to show off his legs. Anyway, aside that Lugh is a wonderful unit as his gains in stats are awesome. Usually, he maxs out his speed and skill if you properly leveled him up. Be aware, his defense is somewhat weak... so try not to get him to physical contact. Eaichu250's comments: Lugh's okay.. but Lilina is a far better mage. Lugh will suffer from major defense and HP problems later on, Lugh's most notable stat will probably be speed, which seems to get quite high, and his skill and magic defense arent too shabby either, but he's still quite frail, and should always usually be protected in the heat of battle. Class: Mage Promotion: Sage Usefulness: 8/10 E250 Usefulness: 7/10 Recruiting: Go inside his house. (Special conversation if Chad goes in) Clarine: Clarine is probably the cutest character in the game! (IMO) And she rocks too. Her speed and luck will max out! Her magic can be decent and her magic defense can also be great. Practically, Clarine is my favorite Fire Emblem Sealed Sword Character. Eaichu250's comments: Clarine rules! Clarine gets really high speed and luck, making her nearly impossible to hit, and her other stats wont be too bad either, she will clock in well rounded stats all around, aside from defense and her HP wont get too high, but it'll stay decent.Clarine is also one of my favorite Fire Emblem: Sealed Sword characters, heheh. >_> Class: Troubadour Promotion: Valkyrie Usefulness: 10/10 E250 Usefulness: 10/10 Recruiting: Appears as an NPC after a few turns in Chapter 4, she will talk to Roy. Rutger: This myrmidon is from hell! This Navahl reincarnation will simply decimate enemies with a katana or a killer sword! At promotion.... oh man, he is beyond dangerous! Recruit him for god sakes! Eaichu250's comments: Rutger is a Navvare incarnation, enough said. Rutger will clock in really high stats, his strength wont get too amazingly high, but his other stats will go insane, and he berserks like a mad man after promotion, making you wonder why anybody would not use this guy. Class: Myrmidon Promotion: Sword Master Usefulness: 10/10 E250 Usefulness: 9/10 Recruiting: Appears as an enemy in Chapter 4, convince him with Clarine. Saul: Saul is another healer you can use and his main purpose to treat wounds to your party members. But he can be a useful offensive unit when promoted. His strength, speed, and skill will rise. But Saul's luck stinks. Other than that, Saul is useful. Eaichu250's comments: Saul's another healer, and he's okay. Elen is a bit better when it comes to full support, though, since she can dodge alot more then this guy can. Saul can be a decent fighter when promoted, as hisgains are well spread around, his luck will horribly suffer, however, and he wont be too good at dodging. Class: Priest Promotion: Bishop Usefulness: 9/10 E250 Usefulness: 8/10 Recruitng: Appears in the start of Chapter 6. Dorothy: She's not as attractive as many other female units, but she does get job done. Her strength is good, as well as her speed and skill.... but Wolts may surpass her eventually. Another archer to boot. Eaichu250's comments: Dorothy's pretty okay, she has decent gains, and she isnt actually all that bad compared to Wolts, when they are both at higher levels, Dorothy and Wolts will pretty much mimic each other's stats.. so Dorothy and Wolts are pretty much almost alike. Class: Archer Promotion: Sniper Usefulness: 8/10 E250 Usefulness: 7/10 Recruiting: Appears in the start of Chapter 6. Sue: Fairly decent, but her defense and power blows. Pass her up for Sin. Eaichu250's comments: Sue's okay, she gets decent gains and everything, her strength sucks, just use Sin instead, as he's better in almost every way, aside from speed. Class: Nomad Promotion: Nomadic Trooper Usefulness: 7/10 E250 Usefulness: 6/10 Recruiting: Appears as an NPC in Chapter 6, recruit her with Roy. Zealot: Put Marcus with slightly higher stats, higher weapon levels, and super low growth rates. Ta-da! Seriously, I would never use this guy even if my life depended on it. Eaichu250's comments: Zealot looks cool. Okay, that's it, nothing much else to say here, nothing else folks! Class: Paladin Promotion: None Usefulness: 4/10 E250 Usefulness: 1/10 Recruiting: Appears as NPC in Chapter 7, recruit with Roy, Treck, or Noa Treck: What the hell is Marchis doing here!? Oh wait, it's just Treck. This social knight can make the cut (Unlike Marchis, ick),but Allen and Lance are way better. Eaichu250's comments: Treck is decent, he gets high HP, strength and defense, most other stats are mostly average, and he's far outclassed by Allen and Lance, so Treck isnt too much of a use, even when levelled. Class: Social Knight Promotion: Paladin Usefulness: 7/10 E250 Usefulness: 6/10 Recruiting: Appears as NPC in Chapter 7, recruit with Roy, Zealot, or Noa. Noa: He's as useful as Treck. His most redeeming purpose is to recruit Fil. Eaichu250's comments: Noah's okay.. but Treck is better, Noah gets high sword skill, and his stats are mostly decent at best. Allen and Lance are still better. Class: Social Knight Promotion: Paladin Usefulness: 7/10 E250's Usefulness: 6 Recruiting: Appears as NPC in Chapter 7, recruit with Roy, Zealot, or Treck. Asthol: Not as good as Chad, but he is a thief.... so mainly use this guy for getting treasure. Eaichu250's comments: Asthol starts with good stats, and his gains arent really too bad, he wont be as fast as Chad, but he can put up a better fight in earlier stages. Use Asthol if you like,he can make a good partner for Chad. Class: Thief Promotion: None Usefulness: 8/10 E250 Usefulness: 9/10 Recruiting: Appears in the start of the chapter 8. Lilina: Meet the damsel in the distress. Well, that is until you free her, she's a maniac mage. Her strength will skyrocket, so will her luck. Her magic defense isn't too bad either. But her speed is only average and her skill isn't too great either. Lilina is still probably few of the best mages. Eaichu250's comments: Lilina's the heroine of the game. Lilina will get insane stats, her speed will get pretty good, and her strength will rocket like a mad house, her luck and magic defense is pretty good, and her skill will soon get pretty high after promotion. Use Lilina, she's great with a several level ups. Class: Mage Promotion: Sage Usefulness: 9/10 E250 Usefulness: 9/10 Recruiting: Appears in the start of Chapter 8. Barth: Can't say much about Barth. He gains massive HP, power and defense. But he's not that useful though as his speed is low, he's quite unlucky, and he has no Magic Defense whatsoever. Eaichu250's comments: I didnt really use Barth all that much, but Barth gets some pretty sucky gains.Barth will get decently high HP and Strength, his defense wont be too bad either but all his other stats will SUCK, I wouldnt really use Barth, as he isnt well rounded enough to make the cut. He's a good canidate for the triangle attack, however. Class: Armor Knight Promotion: General Usefulness: 6/10 E250 Usefulness: 6/10 Recruiting: Appears in the 5th turn during chapter 8. Wendy: Wendy rocks. She's like a reincarnation of Sheema! Her speed is quite good, as well as her other stats! So therefore, Wendy is probably the best armored knight you'll ever get! Oh yes, she can perform the triangle attack too! Did I mention she's cute? =D Eaichu250's comments: Wendy's pretty good. Wendy will get really high speed, skill and all her other stats wont be too bad either, she'll start off a bit weak at first, but she soon grows to be much better then Bors and Barth, making her a great use on many maps, she's a great canidate for fighting and protecting weakened characters. Class: Armor Knight Promotion: General Usefulness: 9/10 E250 Usefulness: 9/10 Recruiting: Appears in the 5th turn during chapter 8 Eaichu250's comments: Ogie's pretty good, he gets good gains, and can be pretty good with Dieck as his partner, he'll need quite a bit of levelling to match up with Dieck and other units before he can become useful, though. Class: Mercenary Promotion: Hero Usefulness: 9/10 E250 Usefulness: 9/10 Recruiting: Appears in the 5th turn during chapter 8. Fir: The Lakche of the game! Fil is a solid unit with insane skill, speed, and luck! Her power is okay. To make her even more efficent, she starts off with a katana, only used by Myrmidons which gives them a high CRT bonus! So recruit this myrmidon and you won't be dissappointed. Eaichu250's comments: Fil's a great character, she gets really high stats, and she's practically invincible when levelled up, when promoted, she critcals like crazy, and will be one of your best characters. Class: Myrmidon Promotion: Sword Master Usefulness: 10/10 E250 Usefulness: 9/10 Recruiting: Appears in Chapter 9 as an enemy, recruit with Noa. Sin: Another nomad. Sin rocks too. His HP is high, as well as his strength, speed, and skill! Another worthy bow unit in your team. Make sure you recruit him. Class: Nomad Promotion: Nomadic Trooper Usefulness: 9/10 Recruiting: Appears in Chapter 9 as an enemy, recruit with Sue. Geese: Geese rocks and has the merit of being the only useful axe user in the game(Aside Gonzales)! Geese gains are great, high HP, strength, skill, speed, and defense. And his Berserker promotion is dangerously powerful with the bonus in CRT! Geese is a great character to use! A great contender for Almace. Class: Pirate Promotion: Berserker Usefulness: 9/10 Recruiting: Appears as an NPC in both Chapter 10A or 11B. Recruit with Roy. Gonzales: The butt ugly bandit. Gonzales is also a good unit. Gonzales has high strength and speed, but he's inaccurate in hitting things with his axe. Other than that, Gonzales is pretty good. Class: Bandit Promotion: Berserker Usefulness: 7/10 Recruiting: Appears in Chatper 10A or 10B as an enemy, recruit with Lilina. Lalam: This chick can only appear in Route A. And apparently, she has no weapons to defend her self with, as all she does is dance. So that's her main purpose. Class: Dancer Promotion: None Usefulness: 7/10 Recruiting: Appears in Chapter 11A in the start of the chapter. Echidna: She's no Dieck or Oujay, but she can still pack a wallop. She starts with high speed and skill so you're pretty much getting a great bargain recruiting her. She only appears in Route A. Class: Hero Promotion: None Usefulness: 7/10 Recruiting: Appears in Chapter 11A as an NPC. Recruit with Lalam. Klein: I like Klein despite that he's promoted. Klein's stats may not seem like much, but if you do level up Klein, you won't be disappoint with the results(Great speed and skill, decent power). Expect him to get a very high luck. Oh yeah, Klein looks awesome too. Class: Sniper Promotion: None Usefulness: 7.5/10 Recruiting: Appears in Chapter 11A or 10B as an enemy. Recruit with Clarine. Tiet: She is one of them three pegasus sisters. Anyway, her stats aren't too bad, her strength and skill tends to rise higher than Thany, but she doesn't have that high magic defense Thany has. Asides that, I think Tiet would make a fantastic unit. Oh yes, she can use triangle attack! Class: Pegasus Knight Promotion: Falcon Knight Usefulness: 8/10 Recruiting: Appears in Chapter 11A or 10B. 11A: Convert Tiet to NPC with Thany, then recruit with Klein. 11B: Recruit Klein, then let Thany talk to her. Elfin: A bard (No, not that bard from FE4 or FE5) and he can make units move again. That's his purpose. Elfin only appears in Route B. Class: Bard Promotion: None Usefulness: 7/10 Recruiting: Appears in Chapter 11B in the start of the chapter. Barthol: Who the hell brought Dagdar back? Anywho, this guy isn't as good as Echidna, so he's kinda worthless. Barthol only appears in Route B. Class: Warrior Promotion: None Usefulness: 5/10 Recruiting: Appears in Chapter 11B as NPC, recruit with Fil. Ray: Lugh's twin brother? Maybe, but anyway Ray's as useful if not, better than Lugh IMO. Ray kicks ass, as his strength and skill will rise at a good pace. Also, Ray's faster than most Shamans, giving him the edge to iniates a second attack. ^_- Class: Shaman Promotion: Druid Usefulness: 8.5/10 Recruiting: Appears as an enemy in Chapter 12. Recruit with Chad or Lugh. Cass: Like most thieves, they're never too great. But Cass will most likely max out in speed and get a good luck rating. Use her to find items in the desert and getting loot. Class: Thief Promotion: None Usefulness: 7/10 Recruiting: Appears as an enemy. Talk to Cass twice in previous chapters, recruitable on the third conversation. (Appears in 6, 8, 12, and 16). Miredy: A dragon knight that starts out with a high level. She's pretty much great to nail those sword using units and when promoted, she can go in head to head combat against axe wielders. Class: Dragon Knight Promotion: Dragon Master Usefulness: 8/10 Recruiting: Appears on the third turn during Chapter 13. Percival: His stat growth isn't too great, but the stats he come out with are amazingly high! Not to mention, he looks cool too. But Allen and Lance are still better. Class: Paladin Promotion: None Usefulness: 5/10 Recruiting: Appears in the Chapter 13 as an enemy. Talk to him with Lalam or Elfin. Also recruitable in Chapter 15. Cecila: For someone who's good lookin', she not as good as Clarine. Kinda weak actually. Anyway use her if you need back up healing or you just like the way she looks. Class: Valkyrie Promotion: None Usefulness: 7/10 Recruiting: Appears in the start of Chapter 14. Sofia: Another one of my favorite characters, this cute shaman can become deadly when she levels up. Expect high strength and magic defense for this gal. Hmmm.... she's like a Yuria and Sara reincarnation. Class: Shaman Promotion: Druid Usefulness: 9/10 Recruiting: Appears in the start of Chapter 14. Igrene: She's good unit . She comes with a killer bow, but don't expect her to be a solid unit like Wolts and Dorothy. Class: Sniper Promotion: None Usefulness: 7.5/10 Recruiting: Appears in the start of Chapter 15. Garret: Don't expect much from this guy. If you like berserkers though, go right ahead with this guy. Class: Berserker Promotion: None Usefulness: 5/10 Recruiting: Appears in Chapter 15 as an enemy, recruit with Lilina. (Gosh, Lilina recruits the strangest people. =P) Fa: Chiki reincarnated, this little cutie can extinquish those pesky units if she breathes on them(I mean it literally!) But don't over use her too much, save her dragon stone as it only as 30 uses(Damn!) and it's the only one in the game(Damn again!). Class: Mamkute Promotion: None Usefulness: 9.5/10 Recruiting: Finish Chapter 15. Hugh: He's somewhere around okayish gaining high HP and an okay defense for a mage. 10,000 Golds aren't nothing (unless you're really low on money), so give him the full price. Play cheap skate and Hugh will suck big time. Class: Mage Promotion: Sage Usefulness: 7/10 Recruiting: Appears in chapter 16 as an enemy. Have Roy bargain with him Zais: This guy is awesome! His HP, strength and skill are extremely high as well as his defense. Therefore, I conclude that Zais is the best dragon knight. Class: Dragon Knight Promotion: Dragon Master Usefulness: 9/10 Recruiting: Douglas: This guy is actually better than Bors and Barth. He gets very high stats, but again with that low growth rate. Wendy will surpass this guy. Class: General Promotion: None Usefulness: 7/10 Recruiting: Appears in Chapter 16 as an enemy. Keep him alive in that Chapter and he'll appear in Chapter 16 Gaiden. Niime: The wicked witch isn't too bad (you'll see what I mean if you look at her). But there are better units that don't melt when water hits them. Class: Druid Promotion: None Usefulness: 7.5/10 Recruiting: Appears in the start of Chapter 19A or Chapter 20B. Dayan: Sin and Sue's father. Pretty much he's worthless to use since Sin and Sue can't do the triangle attack, I rather have Yuuno. Class: Nomadic Trooper Promotion: None Usefulness: 5/10 Recruiting: Appears in Chapter 20A as an NPC. Recruit with Sin or Sue. Yuuno: Crappy stats, but at least she can perform the triangle attack. Not to mention, she's Zealot's wife. (Reminds of the Glade and Selfina relation, they both aren't great units! =P) Class: Falcon Knight Promotion: None Usefulness: 6/10 Recruiting: Appears in Chapter 20B as NPC, recruit with Thany, Tiet, or Zealot. Yodel: Yodelle hee hoo! Oh Yodelle hee hoo! Okay, I'm done now. Yodel is a great unit to have. since his magic defense is maxed out, he got decent stats for a Bishop.
