Ha ha!! I'm the first to make a Survival Kids FAQ!! Hello, My name is Techni, even though Survival Kids only allows 4 letters. I've started getting email from you guys, THANK YOU So far, I've received positive, friendly feedback. You all will be given proper credit for your game help Current version 21 21: Got honey? 20: More items, now with a map 19: Item list added 18: All endings, fixed errors made by spellcheck 17: 6th ending, I have to go and correct all the errors made by the spell check. 16: Grammer/Spelling corrections courtesy of www.gbstation.com (I made spelling errrs?) The third REAL Minigame. 15: Exact location of the statue's eye 14: Up to releasing the ship using the moon-gem. 2 mini-games, 1 to 5 endings, all items and merges, segmented into days for easier use. Reworded where to use the moon key, less confusing now. The things in the desert are there and very hard to find. One email I received from Tetsiko stated that Omega78 gets all his info from my walkthrough, which is partially true. Him and I are friends, he is doing this mainly on his own, but when he gets stuck, he asks me, and vice-versa. You're traveling with your father, a famous explorer, aboard a vast ocean liner. To commemorate your trip, he gives you your first real hunting knife. But when a tidal wave sweeps over the ship, you're suddenly and violently alone, cast adrift onto a deserted island with only your wits and the chance items you'll find to survive long snough to make it off this rock and get back to civilization--and hopefully, the waiting arms of your dad. You always thought you could make it on your own. Well now you're getting the chance! An action oriented game where players must explore their surroundings, gather food, supplies and find the materials they can use to get back home again, Survival Kids offers varying challenges depending on the player's skill. Multiple paths offer differing outcomes, where not every route necessarily leads back to civilization as we know it... How do I get the honey? Here's something from Steve Averett, a GB Station staffer: You make a fire under the beehives and then through dry leaves on there and it smokes out the bees so you can get the honeycomb. It's extremely nutritious and can also apparently be used in some way, but I'm unsure how... How many items can be merged together? A maximum of three items can be merged at one time Why cant I find the eye? You must use the canteen on the statue above the one missing its eye first, then goto the desert How do I store items somewhere? There is a chest in the cabin and the boat, when you search it, click on an item, then hit store My health is dropping!! Your either extremely hungry/thirsty/tired or poisoned If your poisoned, it'll wear off eventually just like confusion or numbness or your can eat healing plants, or sleep it off. But if you sleep it off and your hungry/thirsty, you'll lose health. What does __ mean in the menu? L = Life, the higher the number, the more healthy you are H = Hunger, the higher, the less hungry you are ----Decrease by 1 every 16 full-tile steps----- W = Water, the higher, the less thirsty you are ----decreases by 1 every 13 full-tile steps--- F = Fatigue, the lower the number, the less tired you are ----increases by 1 every 5 full-tile steps---- Where can I save? Make a fire using the kindling Select an item, then the option burn Monkey Stole My Backpack - Go Up, Right, Down, Left You'll also find the pointy rock here and the palace Is someone else on the island? Yes, how else would the cabin get there? Or the ship? Who hid the Gem-stones? And near the circle gem-stone, who left the fire there? Who made the ship or the ruins? I played a mini-game but it wont show up on the menu. You must get an ending, then it'll be unlocked. Now segmented so you can keep track easier, days not accurate though. Day 1: Knapsack is hidden in a sand dune where you start It contains a knife, which you use to cut bushes down Go to the right to get the canteen Come back later when you have the big stick to move the rock DONT EAT THE SHELLS!! Go to the left of the screen, cut the bush, go up and to the right where you'll find a cabin. Farther up and to the right, you'll find a lake, which you can drink from or fill your canteen. Beside the lake, will be a flimsy stick, cut a bush if you cant see it. Down farther will be ivy and a bridge across the lake. The bridge will be gone during rainy weather Day 2: Farther right will be a tree that will serve as your home away from home. There's a big stick somewhere around here, which will move rocks. It won't move the one by the lake because there's a bush behind it. You need a torch and kindling to go through the cave. Go to the far left from your cabin and the monkey will steal your backpack, get some sap from the pine tree in front of you, when you find him, he'll throw it at you, pick up the pointy rock up one screen. Day 3: Go through the first cave, in the second will be the iron chunk for the axe, use the axe to cut the trees, the monkey will run away, inspect the black hole and you'll find batteries! You put them in your radio, cut a bush down and collect another pointy rock. Collect the umbrella leaf above. Move the rock, go down and back home and go to sleep. Day 4: When you awaken you'll here that the search is called off. Go to the beach and collect nails from the wreckage. Use the axe to cut down trees below your house. Take some lumber down to the driftwood on the beach. Go home, and your house will be wrecked by a hurricane/tornado. Day 5: Free the monkey using the big stick from below him and give him a name. Collect the wood scattered around, store them, a nail, and a big leaf in the lumber pile beside your house. Then get a rock and put that into the pile. Fix the Hut!! Leave 2 nails, 4 lumber and 2 ivy at the driftwood on the beach. Then use a rock on it. And then make the raft be inspecting it again. At this point, you have little time to get off the earthquake-inflicted island. Day 6: Try going to the shore where the home away from home is and play the berry mini- game by inspecting the coconut tree. A is up, B is down, and you can only get hit twice by falling objects. You'll get a big berry if you get to the top. And the crab gets you 2 hits. Now, when you have enough food/water, go to the raft and leave the island. You have to decide whether or not to take the monkey. Take him or you'll be stuck. Also take: Knife, Fishing Rod, Radio, Axe, some preserved food, and the Canteen, everything else you take will be gone. Day 7: You'll crash and end up somewhere else on the island. Go down and pick up the star gem. Put the star gem in the boat to the right. Go inside the boat, this will be your new home. You now must collect the other gems to release the boat. The water around the boat is drinkable. Go through the door that opened, explore around and you'll find: Some food, a stick, flimsy stick, tree sap (in the pine tree) and tree bark. The big stick is hidden under a bush at the bottom of the forest below a stone head. Trees'll surround it to the left and down, the stone head and slabs to the north with a small group of trees to the right. The exit to the forest is a little to the left. Day 8: To the left end of the forest, then down is the umbrella leaf. Feed the alligators raw clams to stop them from moving/living. To the right will be a gravestone, which is too dirty to read (use canteen). Below it will be a statue missing an eye. Go south and you'll find the big leaf. You'll learn that if you cover holes with a big leaf, you can get meat without fighting for it. (pitfalls) A pointy rock will be hidden under a bush somewhere to the right of there. Farther up, you'll learn that you're back at the lily-pad area. Farther left will be a big leaf under a bush. At the top will be your new home away from home, looks just like the last one, eh? Day 9: Push the 2 rocks in the water (lily-pad area) Monkey will fall in and bring a lily pad to you, use it to get the little corner and get the lotus leaf there. In the lily pad area will be the square gemstone. Use the lotus leaf on the part of the island that sticks out below the island with the gemstone. Get the square gemstone. An earthquake will hit and lower the water level for you. Get the iron lump. It was the sparkle when the water was higher. A path to the right is now open for you. Down further lets you go back to your first home. Go back to the alligators, move the rock to the left to reveal a hidden entrance. Day 10: So far, the path to the right from the lily pads leads only to a desert. You know the caves where you found the parts for the axe? Go up from there and you'll find the circle gemstone hanging in the upper-right off a cliff. It'll fall down to the waterfall way down there. There is a home away from home down from where the circle gemstone was, (you have to go down where the pointy rock is surrounded by bushes) Somewhere left, is a hot spring which will rejuvenate you. Somewhere up from there will be a tree with an egg mini-game and a place where someone lit a fire. At the bottom left of the cave area, you'll come to a dead end where there is a red fruit, cut the tree path to the left down and there'll be the rhombus gemstone. Go back to the boat, and you'll find someone lying near the entrance. Take them back to the ship. Feed him a baked clam. He'll give you the oval gemstone. Now you just need the circle, moon and triangle. Day 11: Down by the water fall, where the umbrella leaf and circle gemstone are, there is a crack in the wall, you can throw rocks at the rock up there, but when you shoot the arrow it'll crack (Thank-you Jeff Palm!) Then go up, move the rock and you'll find a path in the waterfall that leads to a cave (Take an ivy and a big stick with you to make bridges, do this by using them on the gaps, not merging them together)! Inside, you'll find the palace key. To get the circle gem, you must catch the fish at the base of the waterfall. Day 12: The boy will feel better is you give him stuff. There is a pendant in the middle of the desert, which belongs to the boy, its out to the lower right of the entrance. Back in the desert, if you haven't met the kid yet, you'll find the oval gem in here. Also use the hammer on a statue and you'll find the eye for the statue by the grave, first you must clean the statue above the one missing the eye by using your canteen on it, it is 19 tiles down from the entrance, and 32 from the left side, you'll come across a row of heads, hit the middle one to get the eye, use it and a path will open up by the statue leading to the triangle gem, place it in its slot by the boat and the palace will appear, use the palace key to go in. Inside at the top will be a home away from home, take a nap. Everything in the desert is hard to find. Don't get discouraged, they are somewhere in there. Day 13: In the door to the left of there will be a mosaic puzzle of a boat, solve it and you get, to kill time!! Go find the missing piece in the door to the right of the Home away from home. Put it in the puzzle and you get a key. Use the key below where you found the puzzle piece. Go in the door to the lower right of you, go in the top door and you'll find the right half to a key (shiny thing in the bottom right pool of mud). Somewhere also in there is a tile on the floor that looks like an hourglass, walk over it. Go in the doors in the following order middle, top, right starting after the room with the mud on the right of the stairs. The switch will lower the walls around the moon key, which is at right, bottom, right starting after the room with the mud on the right of the stairs. Day 14: (Excerpt from an email from Jennifer Au) Use the moon key to open the doors to the south. You'll soon find the left half of the star key. (Under a bush) Merge the two halves and use it to get into the door surrounded by the statue heads. Here it's basically a maze of paths with animals running around. You'll have to use your canteen to put out fires to open doors, and you'll have to use your hammer to break cracked walls. You'll need your bow to hit a switch across a pool of water, and light two empty torches to open another door. There will be many moon switch plates you'll need to trigger and finally an invisible maze to get through to get the final moon piece. Then a secret door will open and bring you right back to the boat. Day 15: Use the moon gem and leave the island. Anyone know how to keep the other child alive? She keeps dying on me. Mini games 1: The berry mini-game on the beach 2: The Fish minigame Throw a big rock into the water where you get it. The fish'll float up throw another in and you get a minigame 3: The egg mini-game at the top of the cave area Endings - Please submit the ones you have to me. 1: You manage to signal a helicopter Do this by listening to the radio once you get it before falling asleep, then go to the beach; the rest is automatic. 2: You try to leave the island unprepared and die at sea 3: Day 100 - You, the kid you found and the monkey live on the island 4: Continue normally through the game without finding the kid (JoeBoxer9) 5: You get off the island, but your friend dies 6: You and the monkey get off the island and split up (Rob Coley) 7: Day 100 - You and the monkey live on the island (Wilbur Warden) 8: BEST- You, the monkey, and the child get off and survive (cant get yet) 10 years later: You two get married.
