That is the question. Actually it's both it combines the best elements of both then automates combat. It works great. Unless of course you're stupid enough to use legions. Except for...well check the Legion FAQ. So let's begin the Walkthrough... ============================================================================ Walkthrough================================================================== =========================================================================== Select new game and then name your character. Choose your birthday. Now Arch Bishop Odiron will ask you Six Questions. These will determine your starting units. The seventh Question will not only determine which Pedra you get but also your characters Element. =================================Misson 1:Tenne Plains====================== You will start off with 6 units. Magnus with 2 Fighters and 2 Amazon. 2 of the units chosen by the questions. Advance to Tenne Plains. Now you will join up with Dio. His unit holds 3 fighters and 1 Amazon. You will also recieve the other 2 units the questions chose. Now once you are in the battle you can find out what those other 2 units are. Liberate all the towns by using a unit with alignment as close to the Morale of the town as possible. If you have a Dragon Tamer you can get dragons in the forest down to the west of the start. Wind and Earth element dragons make a good combo. If you have a Doll Master you can get Golems in the highlands. As for Beast Tamers Wyrms can be found in the Barrens. I suggest getting a Fire Element since Wyverns get Fire Breath. Now in order to make life easier leave the neutral town alone. Now go to Jadd along the east side and Pick up 12-24 Quit Gates. Now use what ever you want to take out the boss. I tag teamed him and used Magnus unit and Duran my beast Tamer and Neira his Hellhound. Magnus charged as soon as Duran was in place in the highlands to the east. As soon as Magnus was knocked back Duran charged and took him out. =================================Mission 2:Volmus Mine 1==================== Here you can also find Wyrms and Golems in the Highlands. Before you get here give each unit a Quit Gate. This is essential if the leader gets killed. This is the is same as Tenne Plains although the enemies are a little stronger although I cleared it all with Magnus since I was out of money after training only Magnus unit. If you have a Blessed Sword then give the Blessed Sword to Magnus. If you can turn the Fighters in to Knights then do so. If you can turn the Amazons into Archers then replace the Amazons in Magnus' unit with 2 soldier groups. =================================Mission 3:Crenel Canyon==================== Here you will get Leia and her group. Now name your company. My first group was the Knights of the Dark Hand shortened to the Dark Hand. The second was the Dark Knight. Heh heh... I forgot the other s. Now the levels of the opponents aren't much higher again Liberate and then use the strongest unit you have against the Commander. Buy one of each of the non Expendables from the shop and then you should have access to the classes needing them. You can sell them when you are done just make sure you have the class first. Just trust me,you'll want to do this at each place from now on. Here you can find Gryphons in the Highlands and Hellhounds in the forests. If you have one Hellhound and a Wyrm I suggest getting another one of each and then another Beast Tamer. Now if you do put a pair of Wyrms in one group and a pair of Hellhounds in the other. ==================================Mission 4:Mylesia========================= Here you can find Hawkmen on the highways,Gremlins in the forests,Faeries in the Plains,Wyrms in the Highlands, and Golems in the Barrens. Hawkmen are the center to any flying group. Turn them in to Ravens and then put them with Wyrms for a quick powerful delivery Group. Give it the Marching Baton,Censer of Repose, and Figure of Slepnir this will mean it can get anywhere quickly and is useful for getting those Hidden Items and Scouting. The enemies are getting tougher and it's time to thin the ranks. Put your strongest characters in one set of groups and the use only the weaker characters in this mission unless you have been training them all equally. Now since you have to protect Yumil you can't get Neutrals yet so send everything you have to a destination and make sure you leave Magnus home to keep the flyers up north off you back. Also in this mission you will get Troi if you go to every town on the map. Let him join he's a offensive loser but he's useful if you didn't get a Phalanx at the start. Anyway use the strongest unit you have to take out the Commander before Yumil gets there or he will DIE!!. After alll this go Idorf and then Elgorea with Troi to get a Hallowed Shield. DON'T SELL IT. You'll need it later. Trust me. ===================================Mission 5:Zenobian Border================ Here you can find Young Dragons on the Plains. Leave one unit Home and send half the remaining forces north and half south. Here if you bought Chain Mail earlier then here you will get access to the Dragon Tamer Class. The mission isn't hard but it's funny to send Magnus against the leader. Once everything is cleared and the mission is over come back to Karya for a battle to the death. Then follow orders to get an Ansate Cross. ===================================Mission 6:Volmus Mine==================== Send your strongest unit south a Dragon Tamer with Ultimate Dragons is best but Dragon Tamer with middle Class Dragons will work. Also a Unit with a strong front line and Spellcasters or Amazons/Archers in the Back row. I used Duran. Anyhow send two so one goes to the Mine and the other goes the other way. Send the flyers to the town almost directly south of the Enemy HQ across the river. Remember Liberate as much as possible.Once all that is left is the Enemy commander bring your strong unit from the south while sending the flyers down first incase you missed someone. Now use the strong unit on the Enemy Commander. Here you can get Wyrms in the Highlands,Gremlins in the Plains,Slightly stronger Hawkmen on the roads from now on,and Skeletons and Ghosts in the forests. ===================================Mission 7:Gunther Piedmont=============== Here you can get Blue Dragons in the Marsh. They're quite cool. Also Golems in the Highlands and Griffons in the Barrens. Here you want to send a Strong unit around the South, an air unit around the north and then a mountain unit to the east of the head quarters and try to hit the Enemy Commander all at the same time. However you MUST liberate all targets first. Make sure you let Katreda join. Then destroy the Enemy Commander and let Asnabell join. Take Katreda to Inekell and then Asnabell to Kinseya. ===================================Mission 8:Dardunnelles=================== Here you can find Skeletons and Ghosts in the forests, and Thunder Dragons in the Barrens. Here you will want to bring against the Enemy Commander several characters that can deal tons of damage very quickly. 2 Wizards/Sorceresses,2 Phalanx and an Archer. Archer middle right.Phalanxes front row center and right. With the Wizards/Sorceresses in the Back row center and right. Hopefully the Casters have been together a while and are the same element so they will cast a better spell together and hopefully it will be the Element useful against the Enemy Commander. ===================================Mission 9:Alba=========================== Here you can find Young Dragons and Earth Dragons in the Forests. Anyway Liberate everything until you have only Akka Castle to take then send your strongest unit. Be careful as General Branic uses Infest a Bane/Wind Combo Spell. A Beast Tamer with 2 Hellhounds or Cerberus's will do the trick. Also two Dragons of any combonation will work great. If you have Dragon Tamer after the battle then don't sell the Estoc as it is important to getting the Dragon Master Class. Once you have the Class you can sell the Estoc if you don't have a Tamer to change into it. Earth Dragons are great if you can find them and they turn into my favorite Dragon the Ahzi Dahaka. ===================================Mission 10:Crenel Canyon================= Liberate both towns on the south side of the river then leave 2 units at each place and then send 2 strong units north from each place. Crush all opposition and then defeat all of the Enemies and then destroy the Commader. By this I mean takeout the unit commanders then finish off the units. Here you can find Platinum Dragons in the Barrens, Griffons here and Stronger Hawkmen from now on. ===================================Mission 11:Mylesia======================= We're back to Mylesia. This is simpler since you don't have to babysit Yumil. However and this is a big one, There are a large number of enemies here plus you'll meet Vultan's/Beast Master's and Grappler's in battle for the first time. Watch out for the Grapplers in the back they can hit really hard and in the back and not quite so hard in the middle and back. Watch out for the Beast Master units in the highlands as they're not only faster they also give massive bonuses to the Monsters in their group. Anyway liberate the same way as the first time except make sure you correct any misalignments so you don't accidently capture a town. Leave all units at your head quarters to repel the flyers. After the flyers are gone head out and take out the oppostion and leave the capital for last. Use the best unit you have and then crush him. Give the forward middle man in Magnus group the Shield of Inferno. Here you can find Gremlins in the Forests,Faerie's on the Plains,Black Dragons in the Forests, and Wyrm's in the Highlands. ===================================Mission 12:Highland of Soathon=========== Send flyers early and scout once you see the bridge come around and hit it from the south and take out the Black Knight before it crosses the bridge. Then hunt down the flyers and take them out quickly. Return via Quit Gate. Send land units and take out everything then destroy the Commander with a medium level unit. Surprise it's Magnus' father. Magnus unit also gets a neat narrative between Magnus and Ankiseth. Here you can find Pumpkinheads in the Forest,Platinum Dragons in the Highlands,Hellhounds in the Barrens. After the end of the mission come back and pick up a spare Hellhound. Put it in a group with only a leader and the hound. Take it to Jiram a few times and you'll get the pedra of Bane. ===================================Mission 13:Audvera Heights=============== Here you start from the Audvera Mine. Your objective is to take Castle Ziggiveld. You'll enjoy the opposition here and it's not very hard. Liberate everything and then take out the Commader as always ignore the neutrals. Here you can find Red Dragons in the Highlands,Cockatrice in the Forests,Stone Golems in the Barrens. ===================================Mission 14:Sable Lowlands================ Go straight after the Ninja Master to stop major problems. Kill everything but the Commander and then sweep the map for hidden items and make sure you get them all. Then take out the Commander. Here you can find Skeletons and Ghosts in the forests,Faerie's on the Plains,Blue Dragons in the Highlands. ===================================Mission 15:Mount Ithaca================== Here you can find Gremlins in the Forests,Faeries on the Plains,Griffons in the Highlands. Hopefully you have two flying units send one south to protect the allied town. Send the other one north to liberate Ketican and then clear the map while NOT attacking the grappler led unit. Once the mission is finished then you can let Vad the Grappler join and if you said I can't do it at the execution of Frederick then Saradin will ask to join. By all means let him. ===================================Interlude================================ ============================================================================ Now if you're wondering why this is here is because you now have an important choice to make here Keryoleth or Azure Plains. There are advantages to both. In Azure Plains you get a free Ytival and Claymore and the all important Quit Gate. In Keryoleth you get a free Book of Wind,Plate Armor,a neato Silver Hourglass,(Yes neato do you have a problem with that? Huh?),Revive Stone,Dragon Shield, plus an Arc Wand and a Fur Coat. In Azure Plains you find Sheen Cocteau. If you go to Keryoleth first you meet a Cockatrice which will petrify easily if you hit it from the front and then it costs 500 Goth for a Revive Stone or a slighly less amount at the witch's shop. Of you could do what most people do and get 2 Stone Golems in the Barrens at the Audvera Hieghts then put them in a group with a Knight/Phalanx/Paladin/Catapharact with Troi's Hallowed Shield leading them. (Told you you'd need it.) I went to Azure first so that's where I'll put first. ===================================Mission 16:Azure Plains================== Here you can find Red Dragons in the Highlands, and Earth Dragons in the Forests. Watch out for the Knight Templars as they are really cranky. Send out flyers to hunt and kill the flyers before any land units leave your base. Take out the Flyers then crush opposition and Take out the Enemy Commander. Make sure you get all the Items and keep the Claymore and Ytival. You'll NEVER another chance. ===================================Mission 17:Mount Keryoleth=============== Here you can find Thunder Dragons in the Barrens,Earth Dragons in the Forests,Cockatrices in the Highlands, and Goblins in the Forests. Use a flying unit to take out the Diana unit. Then use the Stone Golem unit on the Cockatrice unit. Just make sure you didn't put the Leader in the center to get beaten up on by the Freya leading the group. Afterwards liberate the rest of the map. Scour for hidden items then defeat the Enemy Commander. ===================================Mission 18:Wentinus====================== Liberate the Map and search for items then take out the Commander if you don't have Ankiseth running around. If you do you'll have no time to since Ankiseth isn't strong enough to take out the enemy commander you'll have to do it for him if you want him in your army. After the boss is dead then the mission is over and you'll never get another chance. From now on you can find Level 16 Vultans and Ravens on the Roads and Highways. ===================================Mission 19:Dardunelles=================== Here you can find stronger Skeletons in the Forests. Watch out for the Cockatrice unit on the right side of the map and bring your anti-Cockatrice unit to bear on the Cockatrice. Take out the Leader and then chase it in to the Cockatrice unit with flyers. Now when you begin the mission liberate the city north of the starting location then send out a two pronged attack towards the opponents. Once only the Commander remains use a weaker unit since she's fairly weak. Take out the Freya's for an easier time. ===================================Mission 20:Gules Hill==================== Head up to the castle along the left side of the map. After you take that then head up and liberate the rest of the map. Here you can find the following character types,Thunder Dragons in the Barrens,Blue Dragons in the Marshes, and Cerberus in the Forests. ===================================Mission 21:Fair Heights================== Here you can find the following character types,Gremlins in the Forests,Faeries on the Plains, and Red Dragons in the Highlands. Watchout there is a Cockatrice unit around that I don't know where it is just watch out for it. Just Make sure you have at least 3 units on your base at all times. Liberate and then take out the Enemy Commander. ============================================================================ Classes===================================================================== ============================================================================ ======================|Soldier|============================================= Special Requirements: None Description: You get these at the end of a mission. First Save the game and a copy it to the Save Pak so you have and extra. Now use each goblet if you get Luk Up save. If you get Luk Down Try again. Once you've all 50 then. Save and copy to the Save Pak over the old one. Now play the misson making sure that the girl is dead. After the mission she should have Changed into either an Angel Knight or a Zombie. If zombie start over from the save on the Pak.Try again until you get the Knight. If it doesn't work after 5 tries train up a few levels. Then try again. See also:Nothing ============================================================================ Special Stuff=============================================================== ============================================================================ ============================================================================ FAQ========================================================================= ============================================================================ Alright first off any questions on special classes will be handled in the Special Classes FAQ. ============================================================================ 1.Soldiers upgrading. Soldiers are upgraded when you gain soldier points. 100 soldier points and one soldier will become a Fighter/Amazon. The medal of Vigor doubles the points earned. Neutral Encounters, and Training won't work. As far as I know the rate is 2 points per soldier in the unit. One soldier group of three nets you 6 points. With the Medal of Vigor it will be 12 points. 2.Elem Pedra If the unit group is holding the Charge Horn or the Interrupt Meter has filled three times then the Pedras are and option. At the start of the game when you answer the questions covered in the Starting units FAQ the last question will net you a Pedra of the same Element as mentioned in the answer. To get the other three Elemental Pedras you must train Magnus unit at Mylesia,Mount Ithaca, and Gules Hills. To get the Pedra of Bane go to Jiram in the Highand of Soathon. Search the barrens for a Hellhound and then give it to the boy. He will give you the Pedra of Bane. To get Virtue go to Muji,Gules Hills and you'll speak to a man. Go to Volmus Mine,Volmus Mine and you will be told to go to Cactovich, Mount Ithaca. Do so to get the Pedra of Virtue. 3.Controller Pak To save to a controller pak hold start as you turn the game on. 4.Alignment Unit and Character Alignment is dicussed along with Chaos Frame in the Chaos Frame FAQ. Since the three are related. ============================================================================ Chaos Frame FAQ============================================================= ============================================================================ 1.What is the Chaos Frame? The Chaos frame is a meter that affects the ending and what characters you can get in game. 2.Adjusting Chaos Frame. Liberating a town raises your Chaos Frame. Capturing or letting an enemy capture on really lowers it. At least in comparison to what liberating raises it. Thus you should leave neutrals alone until after the mission. 3.Unit alignment and what it has to do with Chaos Frame. The average alignment of the unit is the combined alignment of all characters in the unit. If the alignment of the unit and the Town to be liberated match to within 20 points then the town will be liberated, if not it will be captured. 4.Character alignment and how to adjust it. To lower alignment train and then attack lower level units and watch that alignment fall. Putting a character in with a bunch of undead will cut the alignment very quickly. To raise alignment fight Ghosts and any instant reviving undead to quickly send you alignment in skyward. Wizards and other low alignment enemies work as well. Putting them in with a group of Platinum Dragons or Bahamuts also helps. ============================================================================ Items======================================================================== =========================================================================== ============================================================================ Weapons============This guide copyright Triaxx2. It will also discuss the Pros and Cons of using legions. Finally I'll give the best uses for legions. ====================================|Legion Basics|========================= Building a legion. Simple once you finish mission 18 then you can use legions. If you have Ankiseth then you have a great legion leader. Put him in a new group after leaving his old one together by changing the leader and removing Ankiseth. This group should consist of: Front:---,Ankiseth,Soldier Middle:Soldier,Soldier,Soldier Back:---,---,--- This way Ankiseth and does his great amounts of damage in the front row and the Soldier in the middle row all Combo attack for enhanced damage. Now use the create legion command from the R button Menu. Use Ankiseths unit to lead and then put in the other units you want along in the rest of the legion spaces with the add unit command on the R button menu. For some odd reason all legions are plains type movement. To bad they didn't think to make Ravens, and Vultans legion leaders and let Hawkmen work like soldiers. Oh well. ====================================|Pros and Cons|======================== Pros: Great for recruiting wild creatures. No other pros known at this time. Cons: To slow. Easily beaten by taking out the legion leader. May lose units if the legion leader promotes a soldier. Seperate units give greater freedom of control. Example placing a unit in a legions removes the orders button from the commands option on the menu. Difficult to control. ====================================|Best uses|============================= Create a five unit legon and put only 1 character in each unit except for the Legion core. Now walk around the area containing the creature you want to encounterand with that many units searching your chances greatly increase. ============================================================================ Birthday FAQ================================================================ ============================================================================ Here I'll describe simply what you get and what the Special Items do. 20th Birthday Gallant Doll,See weapons section. 21-29,Scroll of Discipline,Goblet of Destiny,Urn of Chaos 30th Birthday Marching Baton,Slows rate of fatigue. 31-39,Stone of Quickness,Crystal of presicion 40th Birthday Censer of Repose,Increases rate of fatigue recovery. 41-49,Mirror of Soul,Bracer of Protection 50th Birthday Figurine of Sleipnir,Increase speed on field map. 51-59,Crown of Intellect,Sword emblem 60th Birthday Manual of Warfare,Doubles experience given at end of a battle. 61-69,Cup of Life,Champion Statuette 70th Birthday Mastaba's Barrier, prevents dead characters in unit from becoming undead at end of missions. 71-79,Dowsing Rod,Silver Hourglass 80th Birthday Charge Horn,May use all interupt commands from start. 81-89,Altar of Ressurection,Revive Stone 90th Birthday Diadora's Song,See Armor. 91-98,Heal Leaf,Heal Pack,Power Fruit,Angel Fruit 99th Birthday Noish's Promise,See Weapons. ============================================================================ Starting units FAQ========================================================== ============================================================================ ============================================================================ Class Combos FAQ============================================================ ============================================================================ This section focus's on putting classes together for maximum damage and effectiveness. Soldier No other use past the 4th mission than to create legions. Fighter Place in front of magic users early to protect them. Knight Pretty close to fighters but can also protect bow users. Berserkers The next step up in protection for magic users. Fencer Use to protect bow users and as early scouts. Phalanx Use these to save your actual fighting classes for the battlefield. Doll Master Put it in with Golems. Beast Master Put it in a group with a Hellhound and Wyrm and you will a strong scout group that can hold it's own or a flanking group that can assist in an ambush. Ninja Great scout if you have Archers. An Archer leads the unit and 2 ninjas sit in the front ranks taking damage while the Archer and 2 amazons do the damage from the back row. Wizard Stick em behind Fighters/Berserkers and Phalanxes. 2 to a unit does more damage than the physical classes. Paladin 5 in a group can pretty much kill any opponent. Black Knight Pretty bad but makes a great middle row support character. Okay magic in the back row. Sword Master Great in the front rows with princesses.Keep em out of the back row. Cataphract Use like a Phalanx. Beast Master Cerberus and Wyverns or Cerberus and Sphinx. Great with 2 Cockatrice. Enchanter Stick em in the middle row. Great with Baldr Golems. Ninja Master 5 of these kill anything fairly easily and with out much hassle. Archmage Souped up wizards and should be used to support physical classes and to combo with Liches. Vampire If you get lucky and find stuff for 2 make them and then use them to defend in the day. Dragoon Swordmaster without the stupid sonic boom put it in the front of your unit. Lich The ultimate spell caster and unstoppable with Drakbook. If you match the element of the Drak Book to the element of the Lich watch out. That hurts. Amazon Put these with an Archer and 2 Ninjas for a great forest ambush unit. Archer Put with 2 Amazons and 2 Ninjas for a great forest ambush unit. Dragon Tamer Put with Wind and Earth element Dragons to create an unstoppable force. Valkyrie Female front liner great for quick attacks. Witch Useful until you get Venerable dragons. Use them for support. Sorceress Same as wizards. Cleric Great until about mission 18 then switch to priests. Put them in the back row of your main Front line units. Diana Put these souped up Archers in the back rows of your Ninja Master units. Dragon Master Put it in front of you Earth and Wind dragons to help keep them alive. Freya Valkyries become these and keep the same places. Siren Much stronger Archmage. Priest You should be using only these by mission 18 or sooner if possible. Princess Da bomb baby. Put this as the leader of a unit containing the following. Paladins in the front row,Swordmasters in the front row,Liches in the back with Drak Books,Diana's in the back,Ninja masters in the front, and a Dragoon in front. Lich Give it a drak book and destroy any opponent in your way. Even with out them you have possibly the most powerful class in the game, among magic users that is. Centurions This goes for both male and female classes. Not even any stronger than a fighter. They are the only female class to use a straight sword. ============================================================================ Combo Attack FAQ============================================================ ============================================================================ Combo Attacks are only done by Soldiers and aren't very strong. Combo Magic however is the Da bomb. Forget what you've heard three magic users will combo although they'll just combo 2 elements.IE:3 Ninja masters all using Fire storm they'll all go at once to really power it up. Or. 3 Ninja masters 2 use water and the third uses wind instant super Atmosphere. Here are the elements and combo element spells: Low level elemental magic. Lightning-Wind Fireball-Fire Acid Vapor-Earth Ice blast-Water Healing-Holy Word of Pain-Bane Combo low level elemental magic Lava shot-Earth/Fire Plasma Ball-Wind/Fire Ionsphere-Water/Wind Clay assault-Earth/Water-Also used by Ankiseth in the back row. Infest-Bane/Wind Dark Blaze-Bane/Fire High level elemental magic. Thunder Flare-Wind Fire Storm-Fire Crag Press-Earth Ice Field-Water Healing Plus-Holy Dark Quest-Bane High level combo elemental magic. Plasma Storm-Wind/Fire-Paralysis Lava Flow-Fire/Earth-None known Blue Spiral-Earth/Water-None known Atmosphere-Water/Wind-None known Inferno-Wind/Bane-Sleep Dark Flame-Bane/Fire-None known Effect magic. Shock Bolt-Wind-Paralysis Ray of Paralysis-Fire-I won't tell. Poison Cloud-Earth-Poison Slumber Mist-Water-Sleep Nightmare-Bane-Sleep Combo Effect Magic Bind Flare-Wind/Fire-Paralysis Poison Plan-Fire/Earth-Paralysis Deep Sleep-Earth/Water-Sleep Poison Lime-Water/Wind-Poison Black Breeze-Bane/Wind-Poison Doom-Bane/Fire-Sleep ============================================================================ Special Class FAQ=========================================================== ============================================================================ Here is where I tell how to get all those little one or 2 of a kind things for the special classes. ====================================|Dragoon|=============================== Go to Idorf in Mylesia after the mission. The guy there will talk about dragoons and the armor makers. Dragon Armor: Head for Kynora at Mount Ithaca during the day. The man there will tell you he needs Condrite to make dragon armor. Head to Melphy in the Dardunnelles on the sixth of the month. Enter town between 9:00 and 18:00. Buy the condrite and return to Kynora durring the day. The old man will make you the armor for free. Dragon Helm: Head to Burgunny,Gunther Piedmont at night and you'll meet a drunk. Go back the next day to find out where his wife went. Go to Senal Volmus Mine. Talk to his wife and return to Burgunny. Visit again in the day to buy a Dragon Helm for 250 Goth. Sword of Tiamat: After completing the Dragon Armor and Helm quests return to Idorf to learn of the wearabouts of a Sword of Tiamat. Go to Fair Heights and then enter Elaine. Head to Celesis after beating the Mission then go to Pinneg with the character you want to fight the dragon as the leader of a group consisting of only him. Make sure he has three attacks and you will win without a problem. ====================================|Lich|================================== Ring of the dead: Go to Congool in the First Tremos mountains stage. From there go north. A ring is on the same level as the city. For the second ring go to Banna Barra in Celesis to get a Dark Invitation. Now take Magnus to Quellan at the Zenobian Border. There you'll get the second Ring of the Dead. Kerykeion: Kill Black Dragons in the forests of Mylesia 2. Bloodstained robe: There's one in Gules Hills and it's a common drop by enemies. ====================================|Princess|============================== Pure White Dress: Take any female group leader to Bourdeux in the Tenne Plains to learn about where to get Silk. Go to Melphy in the Dardunnelles on the 15th of any month and buy the Bolt of Silk. Take it to Billney on the Tenne Plains with a female leader. Battle Fan: There's one in Gules Hills and again it's a pretty common drop. Dream Tiara: Go to Clemona at the Blue Basilica and you'll get a Package for Gelda. Go to Boolem,Crenel Canyon. Then go to Tristle in the Highland of Soathon. Take the Letter from Gelda to Clemona to get the Dream Tiara. ============================================================================ Odd's End's,and Misc Comments=============================================== ============================================================================ If you noticed in the weapons section in the notes about certain weapons about being relics of the wind. This is a refence to Ogre Battle March of the Black Queen. In that game they allowed you to get an called the Firecrest. That item is received in thisd game by foregoing getting a second Lich. They are powerful weapons and all give you 5 extra agility. If you want you can get an Black Knight to wield Boreas,a Paladin to wield Notos,a Freya to wield Zeyphros and a Raven to wield Euros. Set it up like this: Front:Raven,Paladin,Freya Middle:---,Black Knight,--- Back:---,Lich with Tempest,--- Lots o' wind damage. It could also be set up with special Characters like this: Front:Carth,Sheen,Leia Middle:---,Destin,--- Back:---,Saradin with Tempest,--- ============================================================================ My Great Units Section====================================================== ============================================================================ Here is were I tell all about the strongest units I've had while playing this game. Unit 1:Duran's Menagerie The first time I played through I didn't have any Idea what I was doing and so I only had 7 units by the time I changed sides. The strongest unit I had was this one: Front:Beast Master (Duran),---,Hellhound (Neira) Middle:---,---,--- Back:---,---,--- So I played the Gunther Piedmont and while Duran was walking he came across a wild Blue Dragon. Well he talked it in to join in the Battlion and then in his unit behind Neira. The Dragon's name was Musa and he stayed a Blue dragon until about the Temple of Berthe. Why you ask? Simple I had trained all of my units so that they were 15 level above the opponents at all times so Musa couldn't get the alignment he needed to change class. There I came across a unit consisting of one Black knight and 4 Ghosts. I used this to Increase the alignment of my characters so they could change to other classes. With the unit arranged like this: Front:Duran,---,Neira Middle:---,---,--- Back:---,---,Musa they destroyed the Final Boss. Unit 2:Edwards Hothead's This unit has 1 Dragoon,2 Swordmasters,1Enchanter and 1 Faerie. They are arranged like this: Front:Swordmaster,Dragoon,Swordmaster Middle:---,Enchanter,--- Back:---,Faerie,--- The Dragoon was a character named Edward whom was with me the whole game. Although at the start of the game his name was unpronouncable so I changed it to Edward. I always intended to change the Enchanter into a Black Knight but never remembered to. The faerie was more useful than you might think you see it finished off a character that would have allowed a bunch of Skeletons to come back to life. Unit 3:Taccato's Trackers Powerful group of Fencer's turned Ninja Masters. Arranged: Front:---,Ninja Master,Ninja Master Middle:---,---,--- Back:Ninja Master,Ninja Master,Ninja Master Since the characters in the back often combine the magic and create powerful spells they are just as strong against units with low physical defense as they are against units with low magic defense. It took out the Final boss in ONE ROUND. Cool huh? Unit 4:Saradin and the dead twins Black Knight,Dragoon,Saradin, and 2 Liches. Front:Black Knight,Dragoon,--- Middle:Saradin,---,--- Back:Lich,Lich,--- Saradin has Annihilation, the right Lich has Tempest and the left Lich has Meteor Strike. Also destroyed the final boss. This unit was created when I L&P'ed the left Lich named Kenny. He was originally a Black Knight. I made him a Lich and turned Troi in Magnus unit in to a Black Knight. Fitting his nature I turned him in to an Enchanter. The Black Knight in this group had been a Cataphract but became a Black Knight as soon as the Equipment was free. Beleive it or not Kenny was the Leader and killed the divine dragon all on his own. The Dragoon had been a Paladin but I liked the Ogre Blade so much he became a Dragoon just so he could wield it.The second Lich was one of Leia's unit after becoming a Lich she was replaced by a Paladin. Before getting the second Lich and the Drakonite books Kenny had a book of Wind and Saradin had a book of Bane. Thus they had inferno and a real cool combo. ============================================================================ Tricks====================================================================== ============================================================================ 55 Item trick: Create a unit with at least 2 characters with one able to carry only 1 item and 1 only able to carry 4. Give the unit 3 items and the put the item you want to duplicate in the last slot leaving the second to last BLANK. Now take the character that can only carry 1 item. Okay stay with me. Now remove the duplicated Item. Go into the Item Screen and sell 1 more item than you had to begin with. Now exit the Organize screen. If done on the world map the Items are fixed so you can use them however if you are in a mission then you can't use them until after a battle or you finish the map. ============================================================================ Version===================================================================== ============================================================================ Version 1.0-Started it and first posted it. Version 1.5-Added credits, added version, added odds, ends, and misc comments section. Made a few changes and fixed several glaring mistakes. ============================================================================ Credits===================================================================== ============================================================================ CJayC-For putting this up and successfully running such a large website so well. CyricZ-Most of the information in the units and Items sections. Without him I never would have know what critters could be found where. Thanks. Rashidi-Corrected stats on the Phalanx. ============================================================================ Final word================================================================== ============================================================================ This is a great game and if you enjoy this then I highly suggest you get Total Annihilation on the PC.
