INFO ============= December 8, 2001 Added Teams section and some other stuff :)). August 4, 2001 Remember, this is NOT step-by-step walkthrough, it's an Eye of Beholder after all. If you want, I can add some useful things, like Dream Team. Of course you can send me yours teams, hints or anything, and I will put them in next version of this Walktrough (It'll be FAQ/Walkthrough then :)). Besides, I'll place here only locations of important and/or needed items - you must find the rest yourself. And I must warn you: my English is not very well and I know that very well, so please don't send me e-mails about it. ========== 3. TEAMS ========== In this section I'll post your Dream Teams. Let's start with mine, shall we? SERGIO'S TEAM warrior, Keirgar (from EOB1), San-Raal, Tyrra (from EOB1), cleric/thief, Tanglor. Explanation: nice team, with four characters imported from EOB1. Well balanced too. No weakness... I think ;P. Keirgar is again great, Tyrra too, San-Raal... well, I couldn't import mine mage from EOB1 :)), Tanglor - great Cleric and a decent Warrior. ================= 4. WALKTHROUGH ================= The game starts in forest. You will fight with wolves here - don't worry, they're weak. You must find a temple here, or Old Woman, who will take you there. You can kill her, but you'll get only a parchment - nothing special, so why bother? Also, there's a graveyard here that can curse you if dug. Thanks to Honourable Kevlarkid (kevlarkid86@hotmail.com) for this. When you enter Temple, kill both Clerics - it is neccessary. Also there is a switch here, which will open teleport to a chamber, where you can resurrect your dead companions (let's call it Ressurection Chamber :)). Anyway, you can now go down into Catacumbs. CATACUMBS Your main task here is to find three Femur bones, and don't forget to save any parchment, which'll be needed later. When you enter first level, remember: some walls are illusions. To open some walls you must find switches. You can open door using Grey Key. Look for North Wind - this artifact is needed, so don't throw it away. Entrance to next level is on north - east. There's also a guy named Insal there - not too friendly. Watch out for Spiders - if they'll poison your character, he's as good as dead (unless you have Neutralize Poison spell, but I'm sure you haven't, so be careful). You can find Neutralize Poison scroll (oh! :)) here and Cooper Key. Now return to the first level. Now find second entrance to lower level. There's a lever there: use it couple of times, but watch out for Fireballs. You can take Skull Key now. Use it on a door nearby - you must fight with quite strong Skeletons. Beat them and take another Skull Key. In a big chamber you will find among others Darkmoon Key. Now return to the entrance of this level and find a false wall. Another figt, and you'll get second Darkmoon Key, Plate Mail and Complete Set of Elf Bones - use them in Resurrection Chamber - who the hell is this!? Oh, it's just a wizard :D. He will join you if you want. Now return to Catacumbs and explore second level some more - you can meet here Calandra (Fighter) and Shorn (Cleric) - they can join you too (remember: you can't have more than six team members). Further north - east open two doors - there's a East Wind there (another needed artifact). You can break one of the walls with your weapon. That's it - entrance to level 3. It may be hard to beat those Ghosts (or something :)), but don't worry: you'll face much stronger enemies in this game. There's a false wall on the West - kill all enemies and get Spider Key. You can open North - Western door with it. Now you'll face some ant-lookin` monsters. They can poison you - be careful. You will also find some things here, like Darkmoon Key and West Wind. When you get them, return to upper level. Open Southern door. Now you must place any items on four corner and middle plate. Well, this part is a little annoying: some walls are false, you must find Darkmoon Key, Spider Key and Stone Gem. In Eastern part of this place use two Darkmoon Keys - you'll get South Wind and (guess what) Darkmoon Key (you guessed, right? :)) Go forward, untill you'll return to the Temple main hall. Use all four Winds on the wall with clouds, and enter MANTIS TEMPLE Go North. You'll meet Tanglor here - quite useful Cleric. In the next room kill a Mantis - you'll get Mantis Key. Now go South. Throw dagger at switch behind a hole, and enter teleport - another Mantis Key (damn, it's starting again :( Open door, and enter another room. Well, it may take some time: destroy every cocoon and Mantis. Take out Diamond Eye and put it where it was (quite funny, I must say). You'll get Mantis Idol and Cooper Key. Next find a Stone Mouth (???????), and give them three Femur Bones (you have them, right? They're in Catacumbs) - you will recieve a Bone Key. Return to this level's entrance and head East (you can pass using a road, which'll show from time to time). Now you must fight with some Mantis - it's hard fight. Win, and take a Bone Key. Push lever, open door: there's a Sword called ''Hunger'' there (it's needed later!). Now use Cooper Key and enter next level. New enemies here - Wasps. They can poison or/and Paralyze you, so try to kill them fast or just avoid them. Take Cooper Key, and use Bone Key to open a door. You'll enter chamber with four levers. When standing in entrance to this chamber: pull left, right, second right, then enter opened hallway. Push rock in wall, and then return to chamber with levers and pull the last lever. When you'll find entrance to next level, an Old Man will appear and he'll warn you about death waiting for you behind door to the right. What to do? Of course: ignore old man's babbling and get a move on :)). Open door number two. Kill Snakes and take Darkmoon Key. Now explore this level, but be very careful: Beholders can be really annoying. Remember about false walls - there's two here. You should find Rotten Food (behind those hard to open doors). You'll need it, so don't throw it! After killing some Beholders you'll find Darkmoon Key. When you enter one of the halls leading West, find a switch. Next enter another false wall - there's a place, when you can put any item, and it'll change into a stone. You need five stones. When you'll open Western door using Darkmoon Key, another chamber with another few Stone Mouths (!!!!!!!). Give them: Mantis Idol, Sword "Hunger", any potion, five stones, any Parchment and Rotten Food. One of them must be attacked with a sword, if I remember clearly. Or maybe it was doors? :) No matter. The last thing needed by the Mouths is Red Gem - you can get it on this level (there's a new door). Now you can enter West Gate. You will see Dran Draggore. Geez, this guy really likes to talk stupid things. It's a shame that i can't throw any tomatoes at him :))))) So, when he'll stop talking and disappear, enter next level. Oh, BTW: you can't come back, because he sealed doors. Whoops! :) Use teleports to get four Darkmoon Keys. You must now figt with really strong Beholders - their Death Spell is really deadly (heh :)), and besides they explode when killed. Damned suckers. There's a false wall on South. When you'll find a sign "Rest and prepare for the journey that awaits", be ready to pass labyrinth. You must go: West, push Button, South, take Crystal Hammer, West, South, East and touch Moon Sign. Oh, did I say something about Beholders waiting for you there? No? Whoops again :)))) Anyway you'll end at Temple first level. Open door to the right using Cooper Key. Search this place - there's a key under the bed. If you have thief in your party, he can open closed doors. And watch out for Clerics. When you'll see a Shield, destroy it with Crystal Hammer. It's time to enter TOWER Look for a false wall - you can take Polished Shield there. When you'll see (next level) two statues, use on them Dispel Magic. Watch out for moving holes (what the hell!?). There's also room filled with Dragons. Unfortunately, you must defeat them all to get Soul Gem. Beware! They can use Pertify, which may wipe out your team really quick. By using teleports you'll get Heart Gem, and behind a false wall next to the first teleport - Body Gem. Use all three gems in Northern chamber. Now defeat this creepy thing (?) and get Crystal Key. Move two levers, push the button and take Amulet of Life. In chamber with holes, you must first push the button, and then throw a dagger at monster, when he'll stand on platform. Watch out for Fireballs from the walls (what a ryme :)) - you'll found another Polished Shield. In Southern part of this place there's a Crimson Ring - you must have it. When you'll see three levers: move middle and right and get Shell Key. Talk with Mouths (this is reeeealy something, don't you think? :)) - they'll challenge you. You must leave all Crosses and Magic Books, so forget about magic for now. If you want them back, first kill some Turtle guys, and then - a dinosaur (Mastodont I think). Destroy Crystal Wall by using any weapon. You'll get your things back, with Eye of Talon and Polished Shield. Find sign "The Sentry" and throw a dagger in one of the platforms. Place Eye of Talon in hole on the wall, and then puy it out. Next level. Watch out for moving hole. You'll get another Polished Shield. In dead-end chamber look for a switch in the wall. Find ANOTHER (:) Polished Shield. Next find a Starfire and put it in a hole. You'll see Khelben's vision. Yeah, very encouraging :) Take Amulet of Ressurection. Last Polished Shield is nearby (false wall). Pick up Tooth and put it into skull. You'll see another vision (it's Dran Draggore again). In the next room you must place any item on every platform. But it's not that easy: when you'll stand on any corner platform, and throw an item into teleport, it'll be placed on one of those columns. To start from beggining stand on middle platform. If you do this, a path will open. You'll find Crystal Key there. It's time for the last level of this Tower. Place six mirrors in their places. Watch out for enemies here: Ghosts and funny lookin` girls with snakes on head (Nagas or something?). Go West, North and then East, don't forget to take Stone Dagger and Tooth along the way. In chamber with four Nagas (?..I'll call them Nagas) you must quickly cast Hold Person on them, because only when they're standing on platforms, Eastern door will open. Here search for the Hilt of Talon. Push a brick in the wall. Put Tooth into mouth (quite normal this time :)). Now enter next chamber and stand on the platform. You'll hear laugh, and Draggore will send you to a little spooky place (In his opinion i believe :)). Well, not only moving holes, but also very strong Giants! Try to kill them by using Slay Living (Cleric's spell, 5th level). They're really tough. But there's one friendly Giant, who'll give you Talon's Tongue. Put Stone Dagger in door, and after teleportation take Cooper Key. You can open door by using Crimson Key. Put Hilt, Tongue and Eye in correct places. Tada! Let's get this damned Dran Draggore! DRAGAN DRAGORRE'S LAIR Hey, not so fast. First you must find him, right? Go upstairs. Take Crimson Ring and change any three items into Glass Spheres here (BTW: you may already have them, without using any items: they can be found in Catacumbs and Mantis Temple). Move two levers and leave. Put any items on two platforms, kill Clerics and take another Crimson Key. In a room with many teleports find Sticky Paper. Put Crimson Ring into hole, and take...umm..sorry, I forgot, anyway take what you can :). Oh, look! Crimson Ring is escaping! :DDDDDDD Oh my, this is funny! Catch it by using Sticky Paper. You can also get the best armor here: behind a false wall push the button - Shell of Rejoice is yours! When you'll meet strange person, touch it and recieve a coin. Green barriers can be destroyed by Disintegrate spell. Put three Glass Spheres into their places and pull lever. Cast Dispel Magic on blue fog. Now kick another Dran's servant butt. Before going upstairs, PREAPARE YOURSELF!!! When you think you're ready, take him on. I can't advise anything. Just attack him with your best spells and weapons, and maybe you'll kill him. Anyway - good luck. Oh, did I mention that he turns into a DRAGON? No? Another "Whoops"? :)) Maybe this'll help you. It's from Steve (regninf2@aol.com): "Yep, the death of a thousand cuts, works on Dragon Dran too, though it is a little harder to implement. I don't know if any of the attack spells I shot at him had any effect nor any of the arrows (didn't see him glow indicating a hit), but to get him I mad sure I had a clear path from the first chamber off of Drans shrine to the room to the right of the stairs (as you are coming up them) and just played a little cat and mouse standing at the end of each hallway on my way back and forth to get him to use his spells and throwing spells and arrows of my own at him (again, don't know if these helped) and had my front two characters attack him a few times (darting back and forth so Dran couldn't hit me) until he tried to get around me then running to the other end and repeaing the process. I tried going toe to toe with him and boy did that not work! So this is what I came up with, superior speed and agility. Not the most conventional approach but it works, you don't die, and can even be done without taking any damage." And something from Honourable Kevlarkid (kevlarkid86@hotmail.com): "Dran, the dragon at the last part, is almost immune to magic, and there is a very easy way to dispose of him, when you first meet him, after the dialogue, immediately and quickly move front one step and sidestep, avoiding the fireball(even if u get hit by it its ok), then performing the melee sidestep attack. Which, if done correctly, would leave you <|Unscathed|>." Nice. When you beat him, congratulate yourself - good job! Now you can play in Eye of the Beholder 3 with clear conscience :)) ============= 5. ABOUT ME ============= Well, what can i say? My name is Sebastian Kocylak and I'm a 17-years old male from Poland.
