Final Fantasy X-2 Episode Concluded Script By Agent0042 The following guide contains a complete transcript of the dialogue for each of the locations in Final Fantasy X-2 where you can get Episode Concluded. Included where necessary are descriptions of actions in parenthesis, as well as any special music pieces that play. This guide necessarily *contains spoilers.* PLEASE NOTE - THIS GUIDE IS NOT AN EPISODE COMPLETE GUIDE. IF YOU FOLLOW THIS GUIDE, I GUARANTEE 100% THAT YOU WILL *NOT* GET THE MASCOT DRESSPHERE. Key: At the beginning of each section, the location name is given and it's indicated whether or not it's a Hotspot. Following the location name is the Airship title for the section as well the description in quotation marks. Throughout, returns to the Airship where new dialogue is available if you talk to Rikku and Paine or the Airship description changes are noted. If one changes but not the other, than the one that didn't change is not shown. If a choice is possible, the correct choice is indicated with an *. For Episode Concluded, there are no cases where making a different choice will yield significantly different dialogue. To separate each section, three blank lines are used. Besaid Island - Hotspot -Wakka's a Daddy!- "Wakka and Lulu's kid was born! Wonder if they picked a name?" Wakka: Hey! It's a boy! You wanna go meet him? Yuna: Yeah! -Airship- Paine: A boy, huh? Think it looks like Wakka? Rikku: Yunie! Why did we have to come back without even seeing the baby! -Besaid Island- Rikku: Ur, ra ec cu lida! (Oh, he is so cute!) Yuna: Look at his hands! They're so tiny! Wakka: What do you think? He's cute, ya? Good thing he don't look like me. Yuna: Don't be silly. Look, he's got your mouth. Wakka: You think so? Rikku: What's his name? Wakka: Uh, uh... Lulu: I think the Calm will end before Wakka makes up his mind. Yuna: Well, you better decide soon. Wakka: No rushing, ya? Naming my son is my first important decision as a parent. Becoming a parent requires intense emotional preparation, ya? Rikku: How long you planning on preparing? Wakka: Until, uh... my preparations are done, ya? D'oh. -Airship- Paine: At this rate, the kid will hit puberty before he has a name. Rikku: I know! The Gullwings should name the baby! Let's see, umm... "Yup, he's a cutie! The baby, that is. All he needs is a name. And what's the story with Beclem? I heard the ferry's in port..." -Besaid Island- (You find Beclem standing at the port for the ferry.) Yuna: So you're leaving the island? Beclem: I've been called back to headquarters. We need to reorganize the Youth League. Ferryman: All aboard! We'll be settin' sail shortly! Beclem: You heard him. Later. (A blitzball hits Beclem.) Keepa: Sorry! (Beclem leaves.) -Airship- Paine: I hope Beclem beats some common sense into the Youth League once he gets back. Rikku: With Beclem gone, the Aurochs will fall out of shape pretty quick, huh? "Beclem's finally back at Youth League headquarters, so maybe the Aurochs can get some rest! Now if they'd just name that baby..." -Besaid Island- (YRP head to the Promontory area.) Yuna: What's the matter? Wakka: I thought I'd go say goodbye to Beclem. Yuna: He's already gone. Wakka: Oh. Well, I guess we never patched things up, huh? Rikku: What can you do? That guy's head is made of rock. I think you've met your match. Wakka: What's that mean? Rikku: It mean it's taking you forever just to pick a name for your baby! Wakka: Listen, I'm only worked up 'cause I wanna be a good father! Rikku: Kimahri told me something once. ("Yuna's Ballad" begins playing.) He said: (imitates) "Only those who try will become." Wakka: Uh, so you mean... I have to do something and try to change, right? Rikku: Hang on, there's more. Then, Kimahri said, (imitates again) "Kimahri think Rikku should stay Rikku." Wakka: Huh? So, I'm me then? Oh, I see. Rikku: Yup! No matter how hard you try, you'll always be Wakka anyway! Wakka: Hey, what's that supposed to mean. Dryhg oui. (Thank you.) Rikku: Huh? Wakka: Anyways... you guys stay in the village till nightfall, at least, ya? -Airship- "Looks like what Rikku said finally got Wakka to make up his mind! Or did it? Let's find out!" -Besaid Island- (YRP head into the village proper. That night...) Yuna: (narrating) That night, Wakka gathered everyone in the village around the fire. Wakka: (clears throat) Well you probably know why I called you all here, huh? I'd like to introduce the newest member of Besaid Village. (He indicates the baby.) Datto: We already met him! Botta: So you picked a name yet? Jassu: Don't tell me this is a brainstorming session! Wakka: Like I'd do something like that! ("Memories of Waves and Light" begins playing.) But, no... I haven't picked one yet. I'll think of one soon, ya? For now, I just wanted you all to meet him. Everybody take good care of him, ya? (all cheer) Yuna: Congrats. Wakka: (laughs) Yeah, but I gotta come up with a name. No more dilly-dallying from Dad. Rikku: Of course not! Wakka: Naming my son is my first important decision as a parent. Like Kimahri said, "Only those who try will become." But, um... I'm already me, ya? Rikku: Bingo! Yuna: (narrating) He's going to make a great father. -Airship Auto-Return- Paine: "Only those who try will become." I wonder if we're trying hard enough. Rikku: I hear my pop didn't spend too much time thinking up my name. -Episode Concluded- "Looks like Wakka still can't make up his mind about a name!" Kilika Island - Hotspot -Trouble in Kilika Redux- "The trouble with New Yevon and the Youth League's settled down... but now it looks like other trouble's brewing!" (YRP reach the gated area before the woods and hear a crowd complaining.) Boy in Green Bandana: Let me go to the temple! I wanna see my sister! Guard: This road is closed. I can't let you through! Man in Red Bandana: What's wrong with wanting to see our families! (The crowd chants their agreement.) Guard: But, without orders, I can't let you pass! Man: We'll get you your order. From the High Summoner! (He indicates Yuna.) Yuna: Me? Man in Red Bandana: Your song opened our eyes. All that fighting was so... pointless. Please, Lady Yuna. Guide us now as you did then! Yuna: (clears throat, steps up to Guard and cocks a pose) Make way! (She points towards the gate.) Guard: R-Right away! (The crowd chants things like "Come on" and "Oepn the gate!" The Guard opens the gate.) Boy in Green Bandana: Sis, I'm coming! Rikku: Let's check it out. (YRP follow. You view another scene in which the crowd chants and a gate opens.) Paine: Songs are powerful. Yuna: I guess everyone felt it. Rikku: What you felt? Yuna: No, not me. Lenne. (As YRP exit the area, Dona can be seen walking by. She watches them head towards the temple. She turns her back...) -Airship- Paine: Let's go see if the rest of Kilika laerned anything from Lenne's song. Rikku: Admit it, Yunie! You're worried about Dona and Barthello, too! -Kilika Temple- Boy in Green Bandana: You're okay! Paine: Kilika's finally calmed down. Rikku: All's well that ends well, right? (The screen goes black for a moment.) Barthello: Hey! You haven't seen Dona, have you? Everyone's here except her. Yuna: Um... I guess she's not coming. ("Game Over" plays.) Barthello: I was afraid of that. Rikku: Hey, lookie! (Rikku spotted a red balloon floating up.) Barthello: Dona! (He jumps off the stairway into the woods and a thud is heard.) -Kilika Island- Barthello: (sitting outside Dona's house) I'm not moving until Dona forgives me. Barthello: Oh, Auron. (bawling) What should I do now? Dona: (inside her house) Is Barthello still out there? So he won't come in until I forgive him? Hmph. Is he telling everyone about this? Dona: Well, I suppose it does take time learn one's place. -Airship- Paine: What do you expect? Dona used to be a summoner. "Resolute" is part of the job description. Rikku: That Dona is stubborn as a chocobo. -Episode Concluded- "Barthello's always out waiting in front of Dona's house. Poor guy." Luca - Hotspot -Blitzball Season- "Blitzball season's here at last! So, are we playing?" (You arrive in Luca and choose to flag off blitzball for the time being. If you got Episode Concluded for Besaid Island, Rikku refers to Wakka's child as simply "the baby.") -Airship- Paine: Could someone please explain to me why we need to play blitzball? Rikku: Go, go, go, Gullwings! Victory, victory, victory! -The Sound of a Whistle- "You spent some time in Luca before, didn't you? Sometimes it's good to revisit the past." (YRP return to Luca and Yuna approaches the ledge area where she and Tidus laughed crazily [Tidus: "Ah ha ha ha." Yuna: Maybe you shouldn't laugh anymore.] in the original Final Fantasy X.) Yuna: (whistles) I practiced. ("Yuna's Ballad" begins playing. A flashback of a portion of the scene from that area with Tidus and Yuna from the original game plays.) Yuna: (narrating) Wherever I go, Spira is full of places tied to my memories. (The scene changes back to Yuna in the present. She continues narrating.) Memories of my journey. Memories of you. (The camera pans down. We see a small moogle with pyreflies floating around it.) Yuna: Huh? ("Yuna's Ballad" ends and the normal Luca music resumes.) Paine: What's wrong? Yuna: But it's... You can't see it? Rikku: See what? Paine: You need a break? (The moogle floats away, heading along the path towards the Luca inner-city. Yuna runs after it.) Yuna: Wait here! ("Yuna's Theme" begins playing.) Mission Time! ------------------------------------------ | Follow That Moogle! | | | | There's a furtive, floating, fluffy, | | flying moogle. What more do you need to | | know? Chase after it! | | | | Objective: Catch the moogle? | ------------------------------------------ (You control Yuna and instead of following the moogle, have her go back and talk to Rikku and Paine.) Rikku: Have you totally snapped? Paine: Let's go. - Okay, back to the airship. * - Hang on just a bit! -Airship Auto-Return- Paine: Moogle? Moogle what? Rikku: Yunie, you sure you didn't wanna lie down for a little while? -Episode Concluded- "Luca's the place to play! Wanna try a double-header --- blitzball and Sphere Break?" Mi'ihen Highroad -Culprit Found?- "Will we finally get to the bottom of this mystery? Don't miss the thrilling conclusion, Gullwings!" Al Bhed Woman: Not long ago, there was a series of incidents on the Highroad involving machina. An agency hover was destroyed by someone or soemthing, and even worse, our sentry machina went berserk for no apparent reason. Rin, our proprietor, looked into these matters, but the investigation was inconclusive. We're still not entirely sure what happened. I just hope one unfortunate string of events isn't enough to spark some sort of anti-machina movement... Yuna: (narrating) They never figured out why the machina went out of control. Strange, huh? -Airship Auto-Return- Paine: There's one more unsolved mystery. It'll be a while before people trust machina again. Rikku: So why did the machina go haywire? I hate cliffhangers! -Episode Concluded- "Well, things were hairy on the Highroad for a while, but the trouble's over... for now." Moonflow - Hotspot -Moonflow Concert- "Tobli's planning another concert after his success organizing Yunapalooza. Will it sell out, or just fall flat?" Tobli: (after talking to him with "X," a scene initiates) Yunapalooza was super smasheriffic success! But we mustn't let success go to our heads, no, no, no! We must succeed again once more! Well, do relax and enjoy it. The show, I mean. -Watch the Show * - Leave (YRP watch the show and then you end it by choosing "Done.") Tobli: Oh, how sensationally sensational! More or less. Tobli: (You talk to him again.) I know, I know! You should perform! With them! At the next show! Ahem. -Airship- Paine: You have no idea how relieved I was that you didn't suggest going onstage. Rikku: I guess the show was all right, but next time they should let *me* light up their stage! -Episode Concluded- "Tobli's getting pretty well known out there. Yup-yup!" Transformr informs me that there's an alternate Episode Concluded script available for the Moonflow. To get this one, you have to skip both the "Shave the Hypello" and "Ticket Shelling" missions and you can't find the musicians in the Macalania Woods in Chapter 2 either. If you do that, you get this: Moonflow - Hotspot -Moonflow Concert- "Tobli's planning another concert after his success organizing Yunapalooza. -Watch the Show * - Leave (YRP watch the show and then you end it by choosing "Done.") Tobli: How marvelously...medicore. I suppose something's missing. I can't feel the energy? Would the Gullwings be willing to provide an encore? Hypello: Chief? (He walks up to the group) The shpectators are waiting? Paine: Tobli, you should perform. Rikku: Yup-yup! Tobli: Aha! I did not think! Of that plan of action I mean! Such a diversion was at my disposal! Eureka! (Tobli goes on stage and starts dancing) Tobli: (you talk to him again) Entertain yourself! That's the key to providing entertaining entertainment to your entertainees! -Airship- Paine: Tobli should have been on stage from the very start. Rikku: I still think the Gullwings should have gone up as an encore! -Episode Concluded- "Tobli's getting pretty well known out there. Yup-yup!" Guadosalam -Quiet Streets- "The Leblanc Syndicate's goons are staying put. They're waiting for their boss's return." Yuna: (narrating) The memories of the Guado echo in the streets of Guadosalam. But... there is nobody here to inherit them. What happens to memories when no one remains to speak of them? -Airship- Paine: Why do Leblanc's henchmen like her so much, anyway? She seems like a real slave driver... Rikku: Are the Guado gone from Spira? -Episode Concluded- "There's no word from the Guado--- not even a little! Where could they have disappeared to?" Macalania Woods -The Fading Woods- "The woods are dying... How long until they disappear?" (You talk with a man standing at Macalania Woods- Spring.) Man: The Guado sought shelter in these woods, but the Ronso hunted down every last man, woman, and child... Though their souls should rightly be stirring, I do not sense a thing. Perhaps they resigned themselves to their unhappy fate and departed willingly for the Farplane... Forgive me, I cannot bear to continue. (He leaves.) Yuna: (narrating) Better that they passed on to the Farplane than wandered Spira unsent. But to think that there's nothing left... What will become of their thoughts, their memories? -Airship- Paine: The woods have been lost to the winds of change. What else can we think? Rikku: Everyone's gone from the woods and soon the woods will be gone too... -Episode Concluded- "Ay, the woods o' Macalania are not long for this world." Bevelle (Allied Youth League) -A New New Yevon- "Praetor Baralai's still missing, but it looks like New Yevon's remaining members are holding the party together." (YRP proceed to the area outside New Yevon headquarters.) Maroda: Hey. Yuna: Hi, Maroda. Aren't you a member of the Youth League? What are you doing in front of New Yevon's headquarters? Maroda: Actually, New Yevon invited me. More like begged me, really. The chain of command here has fallen apart. Now they're scared Bevelle will be left defenseless. They're so desperate to keep their numbers high... ... they'll take anybody. Even them. (The camera focuses on the Kinderguardians.) Pacce: Maroda, who you talkin' about? Maroda: Why, I was just saying how lucky we are the fearless Kinderguardians are here! Now go on and get back to your rounds, soldier. Pacce: Oh, okay! See you later, Lady Yuna! Kinderguardians, move out! All: Yes, sir! (They leave and Rikku watches them, noticing that their numbers have grown.) Rikku: They're multiplying! Maroda: Yeah! They're turning into a regular Kindercorps. Yuna: Well, at least they're having fun. Maroda: Maybe fun is all this world really needs. 'Course, some people stay the same, no matter how fast the world changes around them. -Airship- Paine: Maroda's right. Some people never change. Remind you of anyone, Yuna? Rikku: Isaaru should have gone to Bevelle, too. -Episode Concluded- "New Yevon's members were at each other's throats for a while, but it sounds like they're finally working together to keep the party going." Mt. Gagazet -After the Storm- "I wonder if Elder Kimahri's handling the Ronso well. Wanna go check in on him?" (YRP head towards the Mt. Gagazet exit.) Garik: Garik not satisfied! Kimahri: Not satisfied? All Garik's wishes come true! Garik attack Guado in forest. Take many lives. Murderer Garik happy? Garik: Silence! Garik's anger never heal! Kimahri: Kimahri tell Garik many times. Force not solve problems. Garik: Then what good is power Ronso receive from mountain? Once Ronso train to defend Yevon sacred ground. But now summoners not come! Ronso power go to waste! Kimahri true elder? Then Kimahri answer Garik! ... Kimahri no elder. (He leaves.) -Airship- Paine: Garik's problem is that he can't bring himself to change even when everything else around him does. Rikku: I hope Kimahri's not taking things too hard. -Mt. Gagazet- (You initiate a conversation with Kimahri.) Kimahri: Yuna see Kimahri's shame. Yuna: Don't be ashamed! Rikku: Yeah! Yunie's right! Forget about that ogre. Kimahri: Kimahri is elder. Kimahri must lead way to Ronso future. Female Ronso: Elder! Good news. Ronso children return to mountain. ("Mi'ihen Highroad" begins playing.) Paine: Children? Kimahri: Lian and Ayde. Children leave mountain without trace. Lian: We caused Elder Kimahri much worry. But we could not find a way to restore Elder's horn. Ayde: We are sorry. Kimahri: No apologies. Lost Lian and Ayde trouble Kimahri more than lost horn. (They nod and leave.) Ronso children carry Ronso future. Kimahri must find path for children and all Ronso to walk. -Airship- Paine: You know what they say, Let's let the Ronso deal with Ronso problems. Rikku: I hope Garik can learn to get along with Kimahri someday. -Episode Concluded- "I guess the Ronso really do have to deal with Ronso problems." Zanarkand -A Place of Memories- "This was a special place for you, Yuna, wasn't it? Want to go take another look before the final battle?" (You visit and then board the airship immediately without doing anything.) -Episode Concluded- "Forget the tourists... now people are saying they want to live here! Guess a new age is coming for Zanarkand." (YRP return to Zanarkand and talk to Isaaru inside the dome, the area before the part he closed. This dialogue isn't required for Episode Concluded, but it's unique if Isaaru did not return to Bevelle, so I'm included it.) Isaaru: Please, don't worry about Zanarkand. We can handle a few fiends. Rikku: You're really... brave. Isaaru: I would do anything to protect these ruins. Today's Spira changes at a dizzying rate. People flock to what is different and what is new. They are quick to forget the old things that stay the same. If no one is watching, this place, too, will be lost in the shifting sands of time. So I thought, there may as well be one man around to defend the unchanging. Me. Important Notes: - This guide is based on the U.S. English release of Final Fantasy X-2. - All dialogue is based on a "fast runthrough" of the game where all non-required sections were skipped for Chapters 1-4. More dialogue for alternate scenarios may be added in the future. - For the Mi'ihen Highroad, there are alternate scenarios in which solving the mystery can still result in Episode Concluded. To read scripts for these alternate scenarios, visit the Rin's Mi'ihen Mystery Guide by Split Infinity at GameFAQs. - Episode Concluded is not available for Mushroom Rock Road, Djose Temple, Calm Lands and the Thunder Plains. I also believe it is not available for Bikanel Desert, but this still needs to be verified. - Much of the dialogue in this guide can also be received by getting an Episode Complete for a section. In the future, I plan to check this and find a way to mark the dialogue that matches Episode Complete dialogue. - Song titles used come from Luca's Sphere Theatre. Frequently Asked Questions: Okay, so actually nobody has asked me these questions yet, but I'm good at anticipating. Question: If this is a guide for Episode Concluded, then how does one get Episode Complete? Answer: In order to get Episode Complete, a player must first fill a certain number of requirements in Chapters 1-4 of the game. For the sections listed above, there are none that are required to be fulfilled in those chapters. The same is true for Luca, you simply need to complete the "Follow the Moogle" mission. For more details on what requirements must be fulfilled, I recommend checking the Mascot Speed Guide by Split Infinity at GameFAQs. Many sections have only a couple requirements and do not need to be visited in every chapter. Question: Why would I want to get Episode Complete for every section? Answer: You receive the powerful Mascot dressphere for all three girls. Question: Why do a guide like this? Answer: Much of the dialogue one gets for receiving Episode Concluded is unique and worth knowing about. By reading this guide, you save yourself the trouble of having to play through the game to get Episode Concluded, a less-than-satisfactory outcome, yourself. Question: Can you think of any situations where it might be advantageous to get Episode Concluded? Answer: Yes, I can think of at least two instances where getting an Episode Concluded can prove beneficial. The first is at the Mi'ihen Highroad. By solving the mystery in a different way, you get to see some neat alternate outcomes. If you pin Rin as the culprit, you get Gippal's Sphere. If you collar Prophet, you get dialogue with a hilarious pop-culture reference. The other one I can think of is the Moonflow. In order to get Episode Complete at the Moonflow, you have to complete the missions successfully in Chapters 1 and 2. If, though, you don't complete the mission in Chapter 1, then Tobli shows up on the Airship in Chapter 2 and if you push him into the elevator, you get the accessory Enterprise, which lets one character Break HP Limit. Also, if you complete at least one mission successfully and don't stop the Ronso attack on the Macalania Woods in Chapter 3, then you can pick up the Key to Success from the treasure chest in Tobli's headquarters in Guadosalam in Chapter 5. This accessories adds the ability "Double All" to single character. Question: Why can't you get Episode Concluded in the sections that you mentioned? Answer: For the Mushroom Rock Road, even if you skip visiting in all four chapters except to give the sphere to the Youth League and then lose the battle tournament in Chapter 5, you still get as many chances as you want to win the battle tournament. You don't even get a Game Over. As soon as you win the battle tournament, you get an Episode Complete. The same is true if you ally with New Yevon, all you have to do is make it to the elevator leading up to the headquarters in Chapter 5 and you get Episode Complete. For the Djose Temple, Episode Complete is contingent on beating the Experiment. You can fight it several times and once you defeat it when its stats are at 5/5/5, you get Episode Complete. If you run out of available repair manuals, then you are left without an Episode status for the section. For the Calm Lands, Episode Complete requires getting 500 PR points for either company or both. It is always possible to do, even in Chapter 5, so if you finish the game without doing it, you are left without an Episode status. Finally, for the Thunder Plains, even if you tell Cid you don't have a problem with what he's doing in Chapter 1 and don't visit the Thunder Plains at all until Chapter 5, you will still get Episode Complete for clearing the fiends at the towers, then going down into the dungeon and beating the Machina Panzer. Question: What about the Clasko, O'aka and Crimson Squad episodes? Answer: No, of course not. Those episodes don't display in the Airship and aren't required for Mascot either? Question: How do I tell if I have Episode Concluded and not Episode Complete? Answer: If you receive Episode Complete, then tag that looks like the "Mission Complete!" tag is displayed and you are auto-returned to the Airship. With Episode Concluded, you are only sometimes auto-returned. You can also check your status for an area any time in Chapter 5 by pulling up the location name in the Airship menu. Question: Besides not getting Mascot, what are some of the effects of getting Episode Concluded. Answer: If you get Episode Concluded, then a section will probably have an outcome that is less than satisfactory because you didn't do something to influence events earlier in the game. You may miss out on certain Garment Grids and other prizes. Dialogue when talking to characters afterwards using "X" might also be affected.
