This game has only ONE commandable character: Eon Lanzard Eon can obtain weapons and armor by using his sceptre on pieces of metal. Basically for all bosses I recommend the best you can get unless stated otherwise. Unlike true RPG's Eon won't gain experience. He'll gain levels depending on how much of the game you've completed. So fighting much enemies to gain become stronger (you know what I'm going to say) is the same as the sentence in the Chewbacca defense method: IT WON'T MAKE SENSE!!! Battles are real-time and one-on-one. You'll get used to it pretty soon. Eon has a few special moves, but my advise it not to use them. Doing so will mostly only work in the enemy's advantage and plain fighting will have much more effect. So far my blah blah blah. Let's get it over with. Boss 1: Borlang Difficulty: Not that difficult Location: Killia Shrine Preperations: Have a good ammount of MP or healing items Borlang is the only multiple part enemy of the entire game, so that's once this one is done, one problem less to worry about. When there are rocks floating around Borlang's head you have about 3 seconds to get blocking because then he'll drop some meteors, but they're all blockable. Keep blocking and wait for his hands to attacks and counter their attacks. Keep on doing this until the hands are gone. But now Borlang will get a little more aggresive. His meteor move will stay the same. But he can also paralyze you for a few seconds and that move is not blockable. After paralyzing you he'll mostly do a charge attack which will cost you one complete LP. Normally the move is blockable but not when you're paralyzed. Have Eon to hide behind one of the pillars, and try to get Borlang to get close. Await the right moment to come out and attack, that's mostly when he prepares his meteor move. Affter attacking you must hide and block again quickly before you get hurt. It's takes a little practise but it's best method. Boss 2: Levante Difficulty: Easiest boss in the game. You just have to know the trick Location: Err.. Somewhere on Aquas. Don't really remember the name Preparations: None in particular. But enough MP to heal, just in case :) When Levante hurts you, it's in 90% of the cases because you made a little mistake. Levante is very easy, you just have to figure out how it works. It won't make sense just to attack him. He'll block everything and counters nearly everything, so leave him alone until his vulnerable moment. When is that? Simple. Levante will go to one of his four magic symbols. He'll perform a spell. During that he's invincible. Put Eon has close to him as possible and let him block. After the spell has been performed, charge to Levante and attack him and block his possible counters. Keep on doing this until Levante is dead. Boss 3: Hergezod Difficulty: Hard Location: Ultimate Lifeform Preperations: Have 999 MP to be sure you can heal enough. I personally let Eon equip the Flare Sabre. Hergezod is IDDQD so don't do anything at all and allow him to hurt you until you lost two LP. The battle will be interupted. Ziruas will dispell the magic barrier and you can continue the fight. The most annoying thing in this fight is that everything moves in all diffrent ways, which makes it extreemly difficult to point you true position. When Hergezod's tentacles (or whatever they are) are in the ground, you can better have some distance. Hergezod will pull them out when you're far enough. Now try to get close and block all his attacks. This is very hard, because his attacks will also push you away. If you get stuck in the blue and red "things" he throws around it'll be harder to get close to him, but at the same time he can't push you away. You can gain much if you know how to make advantage of that. When you are close enough you can attack, but for god's sake watch out for his. Every time he looses one LP he'll stick his tentacles back in the ground. Sub-Boss 1: Earth Dragon Difficulty: Hard Location: Ruins of the Earth Spirits Preperations: Enough healing will do. Attacks at distance like spells hardly make sense. The dragon will block them all. So short range must do the trick. But the breath attacks will hardly allow you to get close. However, these breath attacks are his weakness. They take time and that's exactly what you need. Try to get beside the dragon and when he breathes and you're out of range attack him. This is a really dangerous method but it works, for all the dragons except the wind dragon. (NOTE! When you get struck when he has little HP he'll heal all his HP back. Don't worry he can't heal LP).. Sub-Boss 2: Wind Dragon Diffculty: Bloody Hard Location: Ruins of the Wind Spirits Preperations: 999 MP is recommended. The method for the other dragons works almost here, except for the fact that he doesn't breathe. That makes him a lot harder. The same method should do, but it's a lot more dangerous here. Sub-Boss 3: Water Dragon Difficulty: Hard Location: Ruins of the Earth Spirits Preperations: Enough healing will do. Same as Earth Dragon Sub-Boss 4: Fire Dragon Difficulty: Hard Location: Ruins of the Earth Spirits Preperations: Enough healing will do. Same as Earth Dragon Boss 4: Gudelzepher Difficulty: Very hard Location: Imperial headquaters Perperations: 999 MP, a lot of magic potions and a lot of healing items or you're history. Gudelzepher is hardest boss in the game. Why, ALL his moves (except for one) are unblockable and cost you one complete LP. The blue ball in the middle is his only spot where he can be hurt. But he defends easily and can hurt you with his arms (or whatever) while blocking. Sometimes there comes a beam out of the ball that hurts you a little (but that can be blocked) and push you away (that can not be blocked). Getting close to the ball attack it and heal in time is the best you can do. Avoiding his arms could be good, but will basically let the fight last forever. Boss 5: Demaar *** FINAL BOSS *** Difficulty: Annoying Location: Hades Preparations: Enough magic and healing This is the most annoying battle of the game. Not really hard, but fucking annoying! When he is in the air, you can't attack him. He can dive to you then, but that can be blocked easily and use a beam attack. The worst thing he can do and he does it often, is dropping a life draining crystal. Avoid those crystals at all costs. They can't be blocked and when you get in them Demaar will drain all you HP and use it to heal himself. (He can't heal LP). On the ground he can be hurt, but he blocks every easily and avoids your attacks too. You have to wait until he makes a mistake and strike then. And sometimes that can take an extreemly long time. On the ground he can attack at distance and use his beams.
