If you've made it this far through the game, you know how great the game is, and why I wanted to bring you this guide, to help you make sure you complete it and get to see what you've earned with all the time you invested into playing it (the ending). So after using this guide if you still have any questions on what's needed to beat the Epilogue for this game, please feel free to email me (rocky1328@aol.com). And good luck! =---=---=---=---=---=---=---=---=---=---=---=---=---=---=---=---=---=---=---= Table of Contents =---=---=---=---=---=---=---=---=---=---=---=---=---=---=---=---=---=---=---= 1.) Other Lunar Guides WARNING: There may be spoilers ahead, that's why the walkthrough was split up into sections with the table of contents, so you wouldn't have to go to read something and see something you haven't done yet. ============================================================================= 1.) Finding the Gang ============================================================================= Ok, I went to find Jean first, no particular reason, she will be back at her old job at the carnival. Ronfar is in Raculi with Mauri, who is now his wife, and it take s a little convincing to get him back into the party. Leo is in the Mystic Ruins, where we first came across Ghaleon, with the fairies and stuff. Lemina is back in Vane, trying to get the Guild back together. Once you are all together it is time to start another journey, to retrieve Hiro's lost love. ============================================================================= 2.) Althena's Sword ============================================================================= To get Althena's sword, all you have to do is go and talk to Nall at Taben's peak. He will give it to you, no big deal. This is the most powerful sword in the entire game, even more powerful than white fang or the Master sword. This will be Hiro's weapon of choice for the duration of the game. ============================================================================= 3.) The Rememberizer Crystal ============================================================================= To get the rememberizer crystal, go to Nota. Go across the bridge to west nota and then talk to the girl in the white wedding dress. She will ask you to do her a favor, do so. The favor was to go tell Kyle, the guy in the pub in east nota, that she will never forget him. Go tell him and then Hiro will give him a speak and then he wants to get Julia back. So you will stop her wedding with a little help from the Dragonship, and they will kiss etc.. Now when they are about to leave, they will give you the rememberizer crystal, it will allow you to view the cut scenes from the game, but the catch is, you have to find them. ============================ II. THE EPILOGUE BROMIDES ============================ The next group of bromides can be gotten during the Epilogue, after the final battle with Zophar. You'll just notice that some treasure chests that weren't there before, suddenly start popping up. They're also quite easy to find because you'll be stumbling upon most of them while looking for the rest of your party members. (You kind of want to regroup because there's a new quest you may want to finish.) 8. Mauri's Bromide 1 - Afternoon Picnic LOCATION: Raculi EXACT: Mauri's house. Speak to Ronfar first to get him to join you in your new quest. After this, speak to Mauri. They'll have that ultra-mushy ewwy conversation and Mauri will give Ronfar her bromide as a means to remember her by (during your quest). DESCRIPTION: Mauri is walking near a stream, carrying a fruit basket. Very pretty sight. 9. Mauri's Bromide 2 - In Leo's Footsteps (Sibling Rivalry) LOCATION: Raculi EXACT: Behind Mauri's house is a chest that wasn't there before. Open it. DESCRIPTION: This is so weird... Mauri masquerading as Mystere (her brother Leo's alternate ego). 10. Jean's Bromide 3 - Long Hard Night LOCATION: New Carnival EXACT: At the North Carnival, talk to the guy on the right of the fence, and he'll sell you the bromide. DESCRIPTION: Sexy Jean falling asleep after a hard days work. 11. Jean's Bromide 4 - Martial Awe LOCATION: New Carnival EXACT: Also at the North Carnival, there's a new treasure chest at the back of one of the balloons. DESCRIPTION: Jean is sparring with poor Hiro? I pity the guy... (I don't think he stands a chance without his sword.) 12. Lucia's Bromide 3 - Blue Starlight LOCATION: Mystic Ruins EXACT: One of the pixies there will give you this bromide. It looks like they like Lucia very much. DESCRIPTION: Lucia sleeping like a baby. 13. Ghaleon's Bromide - Secret Garden Moment LOCATION: Mystic Ruins EXACT: Remember the room where you saw a record of the final battle of the first Lunar? That's where you'll find this bromide. DESCRIPTION: What a sweet moment! Ghaleon shows his soft side here, spending quiet time with his pretty little pixies in the garden. 14. Luna's Bromide - Dreamy Weaver LOCATION: Vane EXACT: In the lower left house, there's a couple who were once part of Nall's kiddie group (once lived in Taben's peak). Talk to the woman and she'll give you this "lucky charm" which originally came from Nall. DESCRIPTION: Luna (from Lunar 1) stitching some patterns on a beautiful cloth. 15. Borgan's Bromide - Rub-A-Dub-D'ohh! LOCATION: Vane EXACT: Enter the Ausa mansion (Lemina's home) and go to the throne room. Talk to Borgan. DESCRIPTION: This is really weird! Who would want to see a picture of Borgan taking a bath???? 16. Nall's Bromide - Fishy Fantasies LOCATION: Taben's Peak EXACT: On the room before Nall's quarters, talk to one of the kids repeatedly. To be sure, talk to them all, if some of the kids just repeat the same thing, move to the next, until you find one who talks about something different each time. There are only 3 of them inside the room, so you won't have a problem. DESCRIPTION: A cute picture of Ruby sleeping on Nall's tummy. They're both dreaming about fish. This is soo sweet. Those two should end up together (heh). 17. Lucia 2 - Another Great Day LOCATION: Taben's Peak EXACT: Remember there was a baby in a cradly on Taben's Peak. Go to that baby and you'll find that it has a Lucia bromide with it. Everybody will wonder where the baby got it from. DESCRIPTION: Lucia opening the window to let in the glorious rays of the sun. She's now wearing the short shorts that was given to her during the Carnival escapade. 18. Lucia 4 - Splendor in the Grass LOCATION: Taben's Peak EXACT: Enter the room where Nall locked you up during your first meeting. There's now a new chest there. DESCRIPTION: Lucia is enjoying the day while she's sitting on the grass. 19. Lemina 4 - Steamy Scene LOCATION: Meribia EXACT: Go to Ramus' shop again and enter his Hall of Horrors. Actually you'll find the bromide easier if you use the passage in Lunn's Dojo. There's another new treasure chest (actually there were other treasure chests I wasn't able to get here during my first visit, because I was dodging enemies but I'm pretty sure that new treasure chest wasn't there the last time). DESCRIPTION: A better version of Borgan's bromide. This time it's Lemina in the bath tub. 20. Mystere's Bromide - Shining Justice LOCATION: Takkar Village EXACT: Talk to the old man standing near the gate of the top part of Takkar Village. DESCRIPTION: Mystere in three different poses. It's ironic how a rigid guy like Leo could actually be this hilarious! (He's my favorite btw, because he's cute.) 21. Jean 1 - Gypsy Feast LOCATION: Horam EXACT: On the left of the Blue Dragon Dojo is a house which belongs to the Drunken Karate practitioners. Talk to the perverted old man (who obviously has the hots for Jean), and you'll get your bromide. DESCRIPTION: Jean sure looks like she could eat all that food, what with being a dancer and a martial artist at the same time! She's wearing her ultra sexy dancer's dress. 22. Bromide still being located. I saw in one of the forums that there's a 22nd bromide in Lionhead (the lion-shaped sanctuary that you couldn't enter during your first mission or regular quest). I went there and literally got slowly tortured and eventually annihilated. So at the moment, I'm trying to get enough strength so I could locate the exact location of this bromide. My boyfriend told me that this is the last bromide......READ UPDATE BELOW BEFORE EMAILNG ME ABOUT THIS BROMIDE. If I got lazy, I'd probably just have to borrow his brother's memcard and list it here, but I'd rather award myself _after_ my own hard work. I'd rather not spoil the fun, doncha think?.....READ UPDATE BELOW BEFORE EMAILING ME ABOUT THIS BROMIDE. * UPDATE ON BROMIDE #22* 22. Hiro's Bromide - Adventurer's Club LOCATION: Lionhead EXACT: On the top floors of Lionhead, where there are no more annoying enemies, just before the boss battle. DESCRIPTION: Hiro deserves a bromide too... Hiro and Ruby running out of a crumbling dungeon? They must be treasure hunting again. NOTE: Silly me didn't realize how easy Lionhead is, even at low levels. All you have to do is go first to the cave North of Horam and get that special item that makes all your party's attacks higher. Put that on Jean and have her cast the spell on her first turn. Then have Hiro cast Triple Sword attack on the following types of enemies: (a) The Big Black Ball - Triple Sword is the only thing that kills it fast (b) Mummy Leader - I dunno what the name of that group is, but if you encounter a group of claymen, look for their leader (the one with a different color from the others). Just kill that and you're home free. You don't have to worry about the rest of them 'cause they die after that leader dies. ============================================================================= 4.) Item Stockpiling ============================================================================= Ok, now before you go and run to fight anything, there are a couple things that will make the Boss fights so much easier its crazy. You should have a ton of silver left over, so go and max out on magic and healing supplies. Before you go to fight the Dragon Ruins boss, make sure you atleast level 56 and then for the Water Boss 57. All you have to do is use White Dragon Protect for Lemina on every turn and when she gets low, have Ronfar use items on her. This will keep the party safe and free to attack as they want. Use the Pendant after each boss to go to Vane where you can re-stock your supplies for the next boss. ============================================================================= 5.) The Dragon Ruins ============================================================================= Once you enter the Dragon ruins, the monsters in there are pretty friggin annoying, but your lucky you have all those items. Try to get away from the ones you can, but remember you should try to level up too, so use good judgement. All this really does is wind around a lot, nothing really tricky about it. The only thing that posses a problem is that every once in a while you'll run into a false door. Just keep going and eventually you will reach what I call the Phantom menace. Boss: Phantom Menace ________________________ | Attack | 200 | | Attacks | 1 | | Defense | 300 | | Agility | 50 | | Speed | 30 | | Wisdom | 110 | | Magic END | 110 | | Range | 50 | | Luck | 10 | | Hit Points | 20000 | | Exp Points | 55000 | | Silver | 0 | ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ This Boss is so easy if you use this plan along with the item stockpiling explained earlier, you will be amazed at how efficiently it works compared to how you used to fight the dragon fiends. Ok, here is what is going to happen: Hiro: Triple Sword (Every turn) Ronfar: Normal Attack - Give magic supplies when needed. (Lemina/Hiro) Jean: Blue Dragon Palm (Every turn) Lemina: White Dragon Protect (Every turn) Leo: Any Magic attacks you want. The beauty of this system is that you never have to heal, as long as you use Ronfar to keep the rest of the parties magic sustained, so the Boss cant even do any damage. And that in turn keeps you from having to use other items. Now you might say that this is going to run Lemina's Magic out so fast, if you leveled up Lemina can do White Dragon Protect quite a few times before you have to do anything for her. I was level 56 when I fought this and it was simple. ============================================================================= 6.) The Water Ruins ============================================================================= These are a little different than the Dragon ruins, you are going to have to find the red lights and use them to drain the pools blocking the stairs to the doors so you can move on. This is not very difficult, and there are 5 levels to this. Now the kicker is, that you don't even have to fight the boss. You are going to eventually come to an area where you can follow a hall up to a large double door, obviously the boss is in there. But right when you get in there, theres a door on the right (directly infront of you) it is white. Just go in there and get the jewl, simple! Now save and go down and fight the boss, which is still super easy compared to the others. Boss: Water Guardian ________________________ | Attack | 40-250 | | Attacks | 1 | | Defense | 240 | | Agility | 50 | | Speed | 30 | | Wisdom | 110 | | Magic END | 110 | | Range | 50 | | Luck | 10 | | Hit Points | 20000 | | Exp Points | 60000 | | Silver | 0 | ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ This Boss is so easy if you use this plan along with the item stockpiling explained earlier, you will be amazed at how efficiently it works compared to how you used to fight the dragon fiends. I was level 57 when I fought this and it was simple. ============================================================================= 7.) The Brave Labyrinth ============================================================================= This area is pretty similar in difficulty to the other 2 levels of the epilogue. First your going to have to get the swords to follow you over the little sword signs on the ground, then the door will open. Now go into the next room, you will see statues on the wall. Choose the one closest to the door on the left. In the next room choose the one closest to the door on the right. Next room choose the one farthest from the door on the left. And in the nest room choose the one farthest from the door on the right. Once you get past this set, the pattern reverses itself. Make your way to the final door and the boss area and make sure you have your attributes full before you walk up to the treasure chest. Boss: Hero's Talisman ________________________ | Attack | 200 | | Attacks | 2 | | Defense | 200 | | Agility | 100 | | Speed | 90 | | Wisdom | 150 | | Magic END | 150 | | Range | 35 | | Luck | 5 | | Hit Points | 3000 | | Exp Points | 0 | | Silver | 0 | ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ This boss is pretty easy, since its HP is much lower than its 2 predecessors. Don't even worry about the 2 things with it. Have Hiro use Triple sword on every attack, Jean use Dragon Palm on every attack, Ronfar attack and use magic items to sustain Lemina's magic, Lemina use White Dragon protect or Stat Boost for Hiro, depending on how the enemy attacks. Have Leo use Flash blade or stat boost on himself, whichever you want. Just go for the Talisman (in the back) because once its dead the rest is easy. When theyre all dead get the talisman and equip it for Hiro. ============================================================================= 8.) The Lost Labyrinth ============================================================================= ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Boss: Lost Guardians ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ________________________ | Knight | | Attack | 230 | | Attacks | 2 | | Defense | 300 | | Agility | 100 | | Speed | 85 | | Wisdom | 100 | | Magic END | 100 | | Range | 40 | | Luck | 10 | | HP | 7000 | | EXP | 17000 | | Silver | 0 | ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ The Knight is the easiest of the Guardians, he is resistant to magic attacks, which means he is vulnerable to physical attacks. Hiro should use triple sword, Jean can use Blue Dragon Palm, Leo should use flash blade and Ronfar just use his normal attack or anger dice. Lemina can do whatever, she isn’t a very big factor in this fight. Take care of this one second after the Mage Guardian, as it shouldn’t take more than 2 or 3 rounds of everything attacking to kill him. ________________________ | Mage | | Attack | 150 | | Attacks | 1 | | Defense | 100 | | Agility | 150 | | Speed | 60 | | Wisdom | 100 | | Magic END | 400 | | Range | 40 | | Luck | 10 | | HP | 7000 | | EXP | 17000 | | Silver | 0 | ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ Your going to want to get rid of this one first, because he will heal the other two guardians, and make it a pain in the butt. Have everyone attack him first, and he should be gone in no more than four rounds I’d say. Hiro should use triple sword, Ronfar anger dice, Jean should use Blue Dragon Palm and Leo should use Flash Blade. Lemina can either boost attack power for Hiro, or she can attack with Pyro Pillar. Once this one is gone the other two are pretty simple. Spread the party out before you start the fight though, because the Angel Guardian does an attack than can be contained to damage only one person if you have them all spread out. ________________________ | Angel | | Attack | 250 | | Attacks | 1 | | Defense | 200 | | Agility | 100 | | Speed | 91 | | Wisdom | 100 | | Magic END | 300 | | Range | 400 | | Luck | 10 | | HP | 7000 | | EXP | 17000 | | Silver | 0 | ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ Resistant to physical attacks makes the Angel Guardian a pain in the butt, and it also means that Lemina is a HUGE factor in beating him. She should use catastrophe on every turn, which will do 1800 damage a pop. Have Hiro use squall and Jean just heal the group or do her normal attack. Ronfar can do whatever, he doesn’t really matter either. Leo should be equipped with the Red Dragon Crest, which will enable Red Dragon Anger, which will do 500 or so damage. Have him cast this a few times, and then use his cobra rock attack. Once this one is dead, go to the next room and get Alex’s Ocarina, which is going to let you listen to ALL of the music from the game! ============================================================================= 9.) Star Dragon Halls ============================================================================= There are 6 different stories, none of the enemies are that tough. Don't worry about conserving magic for the party since Hiro is the only who has to fight the Star Dragon. You should probably even be able to level up before you get there. Just make sure that you have full magic and HP for Hiro by the time you get to the room where you see the Dragon. Boss: Star Dragon ________________________ | Attack | 250 | | Attacks | 1 | | Defense | 250 | | Agility | 50 | | Speed | 30 | | Wisdom | 100 | | Magic END | 100 | | Range | 50 | | Luck | 10 | | Hit Points | 10000 | | Exp Points | 0 | | Silver | 0 | ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ You will talk to the Star Dragon, who guards the bridge to the Blue Spire, and then you will have to fight him, since he won't let you pass on your own. The fight is pretty simple 7-8 Triple Sword attacks and he's history. I didn't even have to heal because I used the ring that gives back HP every time. Once you defeat him he will say how he saw how much you love her and how great your skills are, then he will let you pass. ============================================================================= 9.) Ending Explanation ============================================================================= Once the pass is clear Hiro will turn these will be your final goodbye's atleast until next time... Leo thanks you for how much you helped him realize who he was, and Jean and Lemina are pretty teary eyed (sniffle) but I have a feeling Hiro will see them again. Ronfar gives a pep talk involving none other than gambling, what else. Ruby cries but you will most likely see them all again, so onward we go. - Reunion with Lucia - Step up to the crystal and hit X, It will flash three times and then you will be transported to the Blue Star. You will see Lucia in her crystal waiting, then a faint knocking becomes louder and louder... Then we will see Hiro hanging upside down and smiling, she will wake up and smile and laugh, then you will see Hiro and Lucia standing over the Blue Star Together, forever. Note: For all of you who thought the ending was to predictable for did not like it, that's great that you have an opinion, but I don't need your emails letting me hear was crappy you thought it was. ============================================================================= 10.) Contributor Credits ============================================================================= WORKING DESIGNS: Always have to thank the people who brought us this great RPG and just hope that they'll keep Lunar 3 this way, 2D all the way! Keep up the good work guys, and were all looking forward to Arc the Lad Collection, which should be another classic! Alright I also need to thank them for their monster stats which have just been added, thanks a ton guys! And Kudos to the staff of the official guide, it rocks. (Boss stats were great too!) Ruk Chan: Thanks a bunch for his epilogue bromides. NOTE: Lots of people have been asking where they can get an Official Lunar 2 strategy guide, and everyone usually tells them go to Ebay or just pray to god you'll find it in a store, which is super rare. But, not paying attention at all, we over looked the back of the instruction book, you can order one by calling Working Designs at the number in the back of the Lunar 2 leatherbound book and order one. ============================================================================= 11.)
