Only You Can Save This World!! 突然、異世界「リィンバウム」へ 召喚されてしまった4人の高校生。 何故ここえ呼ばれたのか? その謎を解くための旅が、 今、始まる… Suddenly, The Strange World "Rimbaum" summons 4 high school students. Why are they summoned here? This puzzle will be answered with travel, It will now, begin... =============================================================================================== Authors Own Opinion =============================================================================================== Yes I know this walkthru sucks, for one thing I never wrote on for another I'm playing the game as we go along I got this game without even knowing what it was and boy it's a real treat. Apparently, this game isn't exactly a game that's neglected in Japan. I managed to find numerous homepages online devoted to this game (Japanese of course), one would be it's official page at http://www.summonnight.com/! Very cool. Nevertheless, the battle engine for this game is similiar to the battle engine in Final Fantasy Tactics, if not even better than it, later I shall explain. The game is amazing in that it's constantly talking. Conversing with other people in this game is very much similiar to the game Tokimeki Memorial. =============================================================================================== Battle Engine =============================================================================================== The battle engine is pretty much like Final Fantasy Tactics. The players get to move a couple of blocks, the enemies get to move a couple of blocks and so forth. Before every battle you get the customization menu. Here you have to set which players you want in the battle. By pushing the square button you add each character into the battle. I didn't know that for the first battle i fought, and i died miserably ^_^. You can also do your last minute weapons equiping here, though you should have all that done already. After the customization screen displays a versus screen. Majority of the times it'll give you a 条件 joken or condition. So far I've gotten only two jokens (Come to think of it, what others can there be?): - Kill The Leader (If you see these Japanese words リーダー you got this joken) - Eliminate All Enemies Also, there's also a losing joken. That is, if the main character dies, the game is over, so be careful in battle and watch that characters HP. CHECKPOINT 1.0 (Leveling Up) ---------------------------- The leveling up system in this game is extremely cool. You accumulate EXP points and then level your characters up. A majority of your characters don't even need to be in battle to level, that is if your other characters are strong enough. How it works is, you fight and then you gain EXP points. From then on you are led to a screen for leveling up. You'll see the icons of your characters with numbers below. When the numbers are white you can you push a button to level that person up. When you level a character up you get 3 additional points for stats (Works similiar to the system in Seiken Densetsu 3). ================================================================================================ Characters ================================================================================================ 0. トウヤ Touya (Roamer): Main Character. 0. ガゼル Gazel (Theif): Pretty much a stubborn guy who means well. Extremely opinionated and is always being screamed at by Ripley for saying the wrong things. 0. リプレ Ripley: She basically cooks and cleans for the household. Opinionated and very friendly with everyone 0. レイド Raid (Knight): Strong knight, and also the head of the house / orphanage. 0. エードス Eddos (Blacksmith): 0. カシス Kashisu (Summoner): 0. スウォン Swan (Hunter): Lived in the forest so that he could one day avenge his father who was killed by Summon beast Garef. ================================================================================================ Kanji Frequently Seen In The Game ================================================================================================ Kanji which are Chinese characters are the third writing system in Japanese along with Katakana and Hiragana. Kanji imposes concepts and not phonetics. Nevertheless they help a lot in Japanese today, due to multiple homonyms in Japanese words Kanji is very useful to distinguish between words. Here I'll list Kanji's that I see occur like crazy in the game. Make note of how they look like. - 帰り Kaeri - Returning. - 手伝 Tetsuda - Give a hand. (Make note of this in the early parts of the game) - お前 Omae - You - 貴様 Kisama - You (Vulgar) - 何 (Nani, nan) - What - 行こう Ikou - Let's Go ================================================================================================ Story Walkthru and Game Notes ================================================================================================ Note: I don't know Japanese, the bits and pieces displayed here are scraps I managed to understand. Also this is with playing with Touya. In the beginning we are introduced to Touya, a high school student. We then are introduced to Emi who is probably younger than Touya since she addresses him as sempai. Emi calls for Touya and Touya asks, "Yea, what is it?" "Nothing really, why don't we walk together?" Then you should be prompt with "Yes let's walk together" and "No let's not" (If not my memory is dying on me =) Then another guy shows up, apparently he likes Emi. After that guy leaves, Emi comments how strange that guy was. Touya suggests that maybe he likes her. Leading an embarrassed Emi screaming "Janai!" Emi then asks Touya what types of girls does he like. At first he says he doesn't want to talk about it, and that it doesn't matter. However, she forces it out of Touya. Then we're prompted to what type of girl Touya likes. You can either answer, "Energetic Girl," or "Conservative (I think?)" Aftering selecting one Emi will say something like "Hmmm... yea that does suit you." You go and ask what type of guy is Emi's type. Emi starts to stutter and then yell "Oh! The bus is here nice talking to you!" Hilariously, Touya will say "Damn, she escaped" I assume on the way home, suddenly a voice in his head says over and over "Tasukete (Help me)" "Tasukete" "Sekai o Tasukete!! (Save this world)" Our main character will then find himself at an area with a huge fault. He'll say many times "Where is this?" He'll find some stones and also a sword in the area. He's also discovered that a masscre has occured in the area (Not sure). He quickly gets away from the area and finds himself in the slums. At the slums he ponders what to do what all this means, when two people approach him -- Gazel, and Eddos. Quickly they say "Hand over all your money" when you hand over the money you have, they question it. When you just remembered, the money you have now and the money they use in that world is different. So Gazel snaps back with "So you want to play?" then we have a battle sequence. After beating them Gazel will be in rage, Gazel says he wants to kill Touya. Eddos tell him that killing wouldn't be such a good idea. Thus, Gazel suggests that have the main character half dead is pretty good too. That's when a weird light emits from Touya which stuns Gazel for a sec. Gazel will be extremely angry until Raid steps in and said that he saw the whole thing and he will not tolerate this. Raid will invite you to his home which is also an orphanage so there are many kids living there as well. Raid explains to you that this world Rimbaum has summoners which can summon people from the other world (For what reason I still have yet to know). He then tells you that you can stay here for the night, and that you can always rest here. There is a funny instance in this scene between Gazel and Ripley. Gazel makes Rumi (One of the orphans) cry and Ripley notices and is quick to ask Gazel what he has done. She says to him, no dinner for you then. Gazel complains and then sternly Ripley replies "Gomen nasai wa... (I'm sorry right?)" Gazel says nothing so once more she replies with a angry voice "Gomen nasai wa...' Reluctantly. Gazel answers Gomen nasai. The following day Ripley will go out and ask you to go out with her to the market. You agree and before you go out she asks Gazel to go out. Gazel complains and asks why she has asked him out, she replies "Well I need a bodyguard." Hearing this Gazel willingly goes to the market. When upon arriving at the market Ripley comments that they will shop at that store which has tons of stuff. When Touya asks what they're shopping for, she replies "Don't know what shall we buy" Gazel questions her. We then find out that we are buying supplies for Touya and Raid has the funds covered. So here you get to buy stuff. CHECKPOINT 1.1 (Buying things) ------------------------------ The first screen you'll see contains the following: - 買う Kau (Buy Items): When you select this it will prompt you to the items menu. Here you will find various items. The first screen is the weapons screen. To toggle between armor, item, etc. use the L1 and R1 button. Also, the currently is called "b" (At least is looks like that so don't confuse that with "6") - Catagory 1 : Weapons - Catagory 2 : Armor - Catagory 3 : Accessory - Catagory 4 : Items - F エイド (F Aide): Restores 50 HP. 200 b - キッカの実 Kika no Jitsu (Essence Of Kika): Restores 100 HP 500 b - 売る Uru (Sell Items): Sell your stuff, 'nuff said - 試着 Shichyaku (Try Out Items): Very useful. See stats of character before you buy weapons and armor. - 装備 Soubi (Equip): Equip stuff you bought. - 出る Deru (Leave) Thus after you finish you can pretty much freely roam the world of Sargent. There are many places you can explore as of the moment. You can visit: - 商店街 Market Place - スラム Slums - The River - 街の外へ Outside The Street - アジトへ Your Home (Strangely the Katakana is Ajito) CHECKPOINT 1.2 (Stuff you can do in your room) ---------------------------------------------- When you're in your room you are prompted with this message: - ステータス (Status): Check the status of your party. Note that all HP is reset after battle. Meaning all KOed and injured characters are back to norm status after battle. - セーブ (Save): Save your game here. - 設定 Settei (Options; Settings): Set volume and vibration functions here. - 部屋を出る Heiya o Deru (Leave The Room): Leave The Room
