Operating System | Windows XP/2000/9X | FFXI is Square's foray into the world MMORPGs. Based in the world of Vana'diel, this game brings back a lot of traditional Final Fantasy tid-bits. Black Mages, White Mages, Red Mages, Monks, Warriors, you name a class from a Final Fantasy game and FFXI's got it. Well, except for the Blue Mage, it's a class MIA. In addition to your main class, you can have a sub-class that's half your main class's level and you can even choose a job class to work in. This game's definitely got variety. The story revolves around the three main forces in the game: the Republic of Bastok, the Federation of Windurst and the Kingdom of San D'oria. The three kingdoms are battling for their independance from the Beastmen and for control of the world. As one of their pawns, you'll get in the trenches and be the one doing the actual expanding of the borders. |
