RPGClassics Castlevania II: Simon's Quest Shrine

Simon's Quest was a fine addition amongst sidescroller adventures when it was released back in the late 80's. Sporting an in-game clock which changed the day to night, an (odd) experience system and 3(!!) endings, Simon's Quest was indeed, and oddity in the Castlevania family of games with its cryptic hints and messages. Simon's quest (no pun intended) was to dispel the Curse of Dracula by finding various bodyparts of the evil count, which were scattered across the land in mansions. Whipping action isn't the only action you find, as you could buy extra weapons from vendors (The currency of choice is the heart), and new whips, with increased reach and power. With three endings and cryptic messages to find, Castlevania II: Simon's Quest is a fine NES adventure to find and play, as the songs and graphics are quite memorable, seeing it is a piece of the old NES era.
