BoF IV is the first BoF which has a double story line. You play as Ryu, a young boy who wants to find the truth about himself and Fou Lu, a resurrected emperor who wants to claim back his throne. They each have the unique ability to change into dragons and they are somehow related. The battle system resembles the one from BoF III a lot; you still learn skills from Masters by doing specific tasks, or by observing monsters and learning their skills. Graphically, the game has a bit of an aquarelle style that looks really nice.
